Skate - Playstation 3

Arguably the greatest skateboarding video game franchises ever made. The sheer amount of content and creation involved in the open world element of this skateboarding game allows for hours of endless fun. You’ll find yourself blowing off all the missions just skating around town hitting different spots and creating your own lines. This game is a timeless classic and one day hopefully a new dev team will pick back up where this one left off and give us what we all crave...SKATE 4. Add it to your collection. It’s a must-have if you’re a fan of the other 2 games and definitely a must-have if you’re a fan of skateboarding in general. The only downside is the inability to get off your skateboard which was improved upon in the other 2. Still, Nothing quite like it, even to this day.

This will only be a parent's point-of-view review as I don't play it but am the one who bought it for a daughter for Christmas. She is too young to post on Amazon but loves her Sector 9 skateboard. She has numerous games and systems and at this point in time this is her favorite game, especially of all the games she got for Christmas. She can't put it down! Plus we have older teenage kids and kids in their 20's coming over and playing it, it's become the favorite game for all of them! Good, clean fun without the worry of violence or anything negative to influence kids, I highly recommend. WARNING: May have negative impact on their homework... :o)~

First off let me say this game exceeds any Tony Hawk offering so far on the next-gen systems. skate is an amazingly complete experience. Those who enjoy the free nature of actual skating will get the most enjoyment from this game. Though the story is adequate you'll get the most from this game if you spend a good chunk of time simple exploring the city. The flickit controls, though confusing at first (for those of us used to pressing (x) to ollie), are extremely intuitive after getting used to them. Though there are a few technical issues that can become frustrating (curse you load times!), the end product is a blast.

Can't keep my son off this game to save his life. He loves this game and I have to pry the controller from his hands at times to get him to do his homework. He really loves this game and I enjoy watching him play it. Of course I will order again from this vendor. thanks

Bought this 3 years ago, no less than 6 months in 2013, at the time I got my PS3 for Christmas of 2012 3.5 going on 4 years. Skate is an okay game. I like the open world enviroments for the player to move their created Skater in, much like in bygone recent Tony Hawk games such as American Wasteland (2005), graphics sort of hold up even for a 2007 game in 2016-17, the skate challenges were sort of difficult for me. Not a big fan of the control system. I had to use the analog sticks ("Thumbsticks" if on Xbox) to rotate and turn my skater around to make the moves. Also not a big fan of selected copyrigihted/licensed songs featured in the name neither. Heck, the Tony Hawk games had better soundtracks than that. Plan on getting Skate 2 and 3 soon.

I've previously owned this game before it so awesome, It is most likely my favorite video game, I am super passionate about skateboarding, I was so excited to get this game I was thinking about it all week while I was waiting for it to arrive. Then my heart dropped when I found out that the disc did not read correctly, and I look at the bottom and I instantly knew the previous owner did not care about this game. From my experience it was terrible because I assumed it would work, so my advice is to know that you are gambling when buying this game used on amazon because you make just have burned away 10 dollars.

This game was supposed to be in very good condition and it's full of scratches as it iswas for a birthday gift, my niece was not able to install it, the installation stucked at 62%,COMPLETE CRAP! very disapointed of my purchase, i don't recommend at all! I WANT MY MONEY BACK,TAKE BACK YOUR CRAP!

Do not buy this , I just did and ea ported it wrong to ps3 it’s buggy through out the whole game with terrible Frame drops , if you have a Xbox 360 buy it for that it runs amazing
