Pictures are awesome
Thought that with shelter in place that this was the perfect time to read many stories from the Bible with my 9 year old son. Great for reading to children
Like any Bible paraphrase, this has some inaccuracies but they are tolerable for the purpose of reading stories to children. Don't forget that your not using this book to teach seminary students. Great illustrations that fascinate the children. Stories are condensed for the little ones with short attention spans. Small pictures in the margins often show archaeological items and are interesting for kids and adults.

Makes a good coffee table book
Well written in short summaries of important bible stories. The photos and drawings add depth to the stories. Great for any age.

Wonderful Book
What a fantastic book. DK books are always good. I didn't quite know what to expect in this book, but I am really pleased with it. I wanted something that I could read to my children from. This book tells the major stories in the bible and gives all of the essential information for each one. In addition there are so many historical aids in the form of maps, famous paintings, actual artifacts (i.e. an example of pharoah's throne) ancient ruins, etc. At the end of each story is a brief explanation of the purpose of the story. Very well done.

Beautifully Illustrated
Purchased this book to share Bible stories with my grandson when he comes for a visit. Our special time together sharing these stories is priceless. The book is a little larger than I anticipated, making it a little uncomfortable to hold and turn pages while reclining.
