Idk if the the wrap is real paracord but with and without the wrap made no difference for comfort (the wrap broke after 50 or so throws at a tree). I always bring this axe with me whenever I go in the woods, the pointy side makes as a great self-defence weapon and the sheath it comes with is great, takes some practice to quick draw though. It takes a hell of a beating as as well. But this axe is overall just freaking awesome! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ You get what you pay for *by J***O on October 8, 2021* They look really nice out of the box but other than for playing around throwing them I wouldn’t consider these for everyday use. The parachute cord that is wrapped around the handle unravels easily. If you have multiple of these and you throw them and they strike each other then your cord gets cut and falls off. I wrapped electrical tape over the cord by and it still unravels when two axes hit each other. On the second throw one of my three axes broke in half. The seller was quick to replace it so no problem there.
