Great Add On for Yaesu Units
Works just fine. I have a Yaesu VX-6 and have an external set of amps and speakers and this is perfect fit for that. The unit can now stand on its own with a larger antenna and the plugs allow for both speakers and mic to be connected. I am especially pleased to have a better set of speakers with amps since the unit itself is marginal.

Not for Yaesu VX-6
If you plan to use this with the Yaesu VX-6, it will not work properly. Ham Radio Outlet even suggests this as an accessory to add to the purchase of the VX-6, however it will key up and leave the PTT open, blocking repeaters. The TNCs aren’t correct for this radio with most Tx/Rx 2-pin devices.

Good Connector
I am using this cable to connect my VX5 to a TinyTracker APRS unit. Seems to work well. I received the cable within a week and am ready to hit the road.

Works exactly as expected my only issue is connecting the thing, but I have the same problem with the speaker mic. You have to push and turn at the same time to get the vx-7r to connect.

Good fit for my Yaesu VX6R
It screws easily into the VX6R and the 2 ends are equal length to plug in the microphone. It's a good product .

Brand new original part
Brand new original part, fits perfectly.

Doesn't work as expected
I bought this Speaker/mic adapter to be able to use my VX-7 with other brands push-to-talk microphone/earpieces. It doesn't work. I've tested two brands: Motorola talkabout mic/earpiece fits, I can hear but I cant transmit. A Trisquare XRS mic/earpiece doesn't plugs completelly (its 2mm longer) and cant hear, as it continuously transmits.

CT-91 spkr adapter
The only downside is that it doesn't have built-in vox :-) Seriously, it does exactly what is needed. Works perfectly with my VX6R.
