AMAZING FOR WESTIES!!
If you have a Westie with skin allergies or yeast issues Spot-On is Amazing.. also their Efa-Caps HP are a must. I tried so many things but this combination gave the best results - it's not overnight but you will begin to see results in a week and then more and more as the weeks pass. I used half the amount of this Spot On for each application. My dog will still itch from grass and bush so got a good aloe shampoo + used Selsun Blue if i am allowed to put that here... but I can't get over how his skin healed on his chest and neck - I put some Spot On on all the bad areas as well as per the instructions - his coat is at last white and soft again. Amazing stuff!

Great addition to itchy dog's treatment!
My 4 yr old Boxer/Shar pei mix has been a very itchy dog all her life. I went to the vet to hopefully get some answers. They said it could be allergies either from something she comes in contact with, inhales, or from the food she eats. They told me to eliminate beef, chicken, corn, wheat, and soy, which are all common allergens. I noticed a slight difference when I changed her food to a lamb and rice recipe. The only problem is, chicken fat is in her food and that is also a common allergen. I am in the process of changing her food to a brand that does not use chicken fat at all. We'll see if that helps! I was also told by the vet to give her medicated baths once weekly that contain ketoconazole, which is an anti-fungal. She is also on 5mg of Prednisone every other day to alleviate her itching. The vet also recommended Allerderm Spot-on treatments. My dog has been on them for about five weeks (one pipette a week) and I have noticed a huge difference in the texture of her skin and coat. She will itch occasionally but the Allerderm has helped alleviate most but not all of it. Her skin under her arms and belly are smooth and don't feel sweaty and rough like they used to. Her coat is extremely shiny and she hardly sheds anymore. While I'm not completely convinced Allerderm Spot-on was the only thing that helped alleviate her itching (it has been a combination of treatments), I believe it has helped her skin and coat tremendously. I would recommend it to anyone who has an itchy dog.

This stuff is great for my dog.
I first discovered this product when my dogs dermatologist sold it to me for $60 a pack. It worked great for my dogs itchy red paws, but I thought "how the heck am I going to spend $60 dollars on this stuff when it doesn't last long?" I am so glad I found this stuff on Amazon (since it is a third of the price). The packaging and everything is exactly the same as the one from my vet. This is my second time ordering this stuff and the first time I had no problem receiving my order. I have a 10 lb terrier but I order the Spot On for Medium to Large dogs over 20lbs because it lasts a little longer (I think). The pack come with 6 pipettes (viles) and I would say that one of those little pipettes lasts about 3 times of putting a good amount on all of my dogs four paws. So I really don't use it everyday. I only use it when my dogs paws are fire engine red and he is really licking. The stuff is great though, I wish they sold it in huge bottles (hence the 4 star rating and not a 5). And the directions are also to put the vile in the fridge and use it within 7 days of opening. (At least that is what the vet told me.)

Ridgeback Allergies Gone and Fur is BACK!
Over 9 months ago our Rhodesian had a horrible case of fleas and got infected bites. The infection was pretty severe so our Vet recommended we use Antibiotics to handle. The infection got better but about a month later she has such a bad case of yeast infection that she was licking all her fur off her tummy and legs. We tried all the holistic remedies, but had to use Antibiotics to handle her once again. Then we had to treat her puppy gut with great pro-biotics, raw food sand Allerderm topically. Her skin had gotten Elephantitis in her pits and paws and she was looking like a shelter dog. The Allerderm turned her skin around and within 12 weeks her fur was grown back and wrinkly flesh was handled! She has full shiny fur and it all grew back in beautifully.Thank you for this great product! We humans actually started taking more fatty acids because we saw how well Allerderm worked on her. Our coats are getting better too!

She is now off the special food & eating a good quality store-bought food
My 12 yr old Lab has taken meds & special food for years to control constant ear problems, excessive itchiness & shedding. The results were marginal. A veterinarian recently suggested trying Allerderm Spot-On. OMG...within 24 hours of her first treatment, she was no longer scratching & chewing her feet. I retreated her as soon as she started showing signs of itchiness (2nd treatment after 4 days & gradually increasing time between treatments). She is now off the special food & eating a good quality store-bought food, her ear problems have stabilized, her coat is silky with minimal shedding, her once pink paws are now her natural yellow color, and best of all she is calm & content , and no longer obsessed with scratching!

Warning, harmful to animals. It burns the skin badly.
This item was a fake. It burned my animal. I have used this from my vet and it was wonderful. This product from Amazon was in a different language and should never be used except from a vet.

great for dry skin
While this may not be for everyone, it works really well for my dog. He has multiple allergies and gets shots as well as specific food. However he has a tendency to get a really dry muzzle and often makes it bleed by rubbing it on the ground. I have actually taken to applying the allerderm to his muzzle every 2 weeks or so and I have noticed a distinct difference. I even stopped for a month and noticed that his symptoms got worse! Also help with scaling ( my dog would get sheets of scales at one time)

It works!
This isn't a miracle cure but I'd characterize it as one very valuable tool in managing atopic allergy. We have a rescue dal with fairly severe seasonal atopic allergies. Last summer, our first with her, was difficult. A continual scramble to try to stay ahead of itching, hotspots, biting..... Demodectic mites treated, most of the std. vet recommended shampoos, antihistamines, diet, etc. Still, fall and winter was a blessed relief. Generally better health and diet probably helps but we still started to see some recurrence this spring. I'd weight long term fish oil capsules with meals and Allerderm as roughly equally effective in our case but the Allerderm rather dramatically and quickly (within a few days) cut the itching and let us get ahead on the fish oil capsules. I'd say it's well worth a try if you are in this situation.
