**Q: does anyone know if these are for dry location only thing**
A: Yes. Water and electricity shouldn't mix by the plug area. That's dangerous.

**Q: is this a male or female plug in for the cord?**
A: This unit does not come with a cord you plug it in to a 120 vac socket and you use 2 lead ac cord to hook up what ever needs 24 volts ac

**Q: Will this work with Ring Camera?**
A: No.  Ring uses 18 VAC and 500 mA.
Besides, the Ting Power Adaptor is on $14

**Q: Can i use an elv dimmer to vary the output voltage?**
A: This is a basic old school power supply. And I would strongly think that it would not work with any sort of voltage dimmer.
