I used it for the wiremold plug strip, I hard wired. I used crimp caps, so I had enough room to tuck the wires behind the plate. It looks cleaner than using a cord. Keep in mind it's only for the wiremold 2000 series.

Worked well for wiring-up our kitchen under-cabinet appliances power strips. Clean hidden look to avoid outlets on tile backsplash. Put under cabinet LED strip lighting next to it for clean continuous hidden under-cabinet task lighting. Clamping mechanism for fastening it to the actual power strip is a bit flimsy, but I was able to get it to work well enough.

The larger space is diffinately helpful due to the very stiff wiring. How it connects to the power strip is fair. It is not a strong connection and misalignment is possible but correctable. There is not anything else that does what this junction box does. I would buy again.

The product itself is great. I needed it to complete my NEMA plug in power bar. I frustrates me to no end that my big box store sold me the power plug in strip and did not have this essential item in stock.
