Extremely light, extremely portable it attaches very firmly to the left side or right side of the laptop and stays there! It has two usb-c ports, one for charging, the other for both charging and data transmission, and three usb 3.0 ports can fully meet my work needs. It offers fast transfer rates and just to be safe I keep one more permanently in the laptop bug, just in case I forget the first. So you turn your 2 port laptop into a single port - clever. What a waste. Stick with the old "un-improved" 7 in 1, both USB-C ports will Charge/Data.Some will say that you need to charge power into a port, so no loss; wrong buffalo breath - I have a hub I can run power through, and multiple drives attached. So this removes the option of doing that on both ports. (I do this by running power through the hub, energizing the HDDs, making it a powered hub). My laptop is powered separately, so plenty of juice for all.But that is off the table with this hub.
