I bought this item as it was by amazon and the fact it said fast charging usb. Unfortunately I didn't notice it being any faster than the ones I have already, but it is a good product.

Difficult to give accurate ratings for durability and sturdiness as only owned this a few weeks but even so i'm glad I bought this. Have been struggling for years to get my kindle to charge. Have the amazon plug but the cable at some point stopped working unless you held it in certain positions and was very slow. I thought I would have to replace the plug too for some reason but thankfully decided to just try purchasing a new cable first, which did the trick. Works first time and can walk away and come back knowing it's gone up in charge and not down and even seems faster than the old one. Not like phone charging fastness but fast enough. Price I thought was reasonable for an official cable.

Nice feel to it and a good length. I have my fire tablet almost permanently charging from a multi USB plug under my bed and the cable is long enough to reach the top of my beside table and even further for me to sit up in bed reading whilst cable still attached. I've also invested in a little adhesive cable holder (stuck to the side of my bedside cable so that when I do disconnect this cable and my phone cable, I can slot them into the holder which means neither of them get all twisted and I don't have to crawl under the bed looking for the end of it! So by keeping it straight and tidy, I'm hoping it'll last much longer (my last cable kept twisting so much the rubber shielding on the cable wore away from the bit that goes into the charging port. This one seems better built and protected in that area too. Very happy with it and I do think my fire tablet charges faster, both being an Amazon device and accessory.

Does not fit my Kindle Paperwhite 11th Generation. Description suggests it fits all Kindles. Am returning.

Ordered this cable to charge my Kindle Fire, as the original cable was very loose and it took ages to charge, after I read that this cable is also charging other devices I thought I plug it in my Samsung Tablet S2 that wouldn't charge up with the original charger cable, and after I tried numerous cables but with same result, in the end my tablet just remained "dead" and I thought I have to either have it repaired or get a new one... Come to the point, this cable arrived yesterday and I just plugged it in to my Samsung Tablet just to see what it does... It's a perfect fit, sits snug in the socket and the charging speed is brilliant. I've got my Tablet working again. Love it!!!!

The web site advertised the product as suitable for Kindle charging. In fact, only some Kindles can use it. The later models need a different connection to the device. Amazon needs to fix this as it is wasteful for both customers and Amazon. The money back guarantee works well.
