Best post lamps I have ever had
I bought 6 to try before I bought the teaming 13 I need. They are well made and worth the money. I opened one to see the charging circuit and it is well designed. Took me a few minutes at each post to install. As the posts are treated and little over size, I used a battery power saw to notch a blade with in each side of the post a 1/2” down and they fit snug. They worked great the fiat might and the brightest post lamps I have had. The reflector Inside works well and helps in this fact. The aluminum base and glass are worth the money. The top is plastic with a metal top piece but substantial in thickness compared to others I have owned. They worked the first night and every night since almost all night. I hope they come back in to stock as like to purchase more and a couple of spares to have around in case a tree limb falls on one. Can’t recommend them enough. Please ask Davinci Lighting to restock! UPDAtE: added some photos of the fence install. Been running in mixed sun/shade environment and still work great. The Crystalline PV cells are great and have around 25% efficiency with the testing I did. Will see how they do in the LA heat this summer. Note: I left them in a sunny part of the yard for two days before installing. I think it help set the battery life. 95 here and still working great Update: so I had 4 lights quit. I opened them up and found two issues. The PC board have corrosion on it from moisture and exposure. See phot above. I cleaned the boards with a Roth rich and the traces look good still. I also check the capacitors and resistors and all were still good. I also found a wire on each had corroded and broke off. I soldered them back. All of them work now. I also place RTV on the inside to seal the gap around the solar cell to keep rain out. Not too bad of an issue so still like these best of all the lights I have purchased. I checked working lights and they did not have this issue. I still added a new seal around the solar cells on the inside before I reinstalled them to be safe.

Pleasantly suprised - great product!
I bought 8 of these to mount to the post tops of our newly re-finished 25' x 16' deck. They arrived in 4 days during COVID lockdown and were very well packed in retail-quality packaging. The metal "roof" of the light fixture securely fastens with 4 press-and-turn tabs, houses the 2 white LED bulbs and the rechargeable battery, and has a quality powder-coat finish. The panes are bubbled glass, giving them an upscale antiqued look. We really love the overall design with the metal housing and decorative frame. The fixture slides down about 1" onto a 4x4 post and is easily secured with the hardware (Davinci provides a bag with 2 screws each of 3 different lengths). Use the plastic base to mount the fixture to a 6x6 post or flat (according to the instructions). A printed sheet includes a QR code and a website URL to guide you to the online mounting instructions, which are specific to this model and easy to follow. Although 3 of the fixtures are under 30' pines and so only get partial sun, they all charge even on cloudy days and throw off a warm light for at least 6 hours after sunset. We no longer use our wall sconces to light the deck - these units are bright enough to light an evening of entertainment and conversation!

Good post lamp, mounting a little flimsy
I bought this to replace a different style of lamp on my mailbox post (one that was aging, dim and unrepairable). I like the style, the engineering and manufacture of the lamp itself. It looks good and is just the right brightness — a bit more than "marker," a bit less than "light up the area." The replaceable battery is a nice touch, and the way the lid is made, I can probably take it apart and replace the LEDs in a few years if necessary. What I found exasperating was the rather flimsy mount. It comes with four, to accommodate four post sizes, and all are molded from soft ABS. Once one is screwed to the post, the lamp assembly twist-locks onto it. Between small-ish locking nubs and soft plastic, the hold isn't very good and it does not "lock" into position; a bump will turn it, and a harder bump will knock it right off. Gluing isn't an option as there would be no way to remove it without damage (mount screws are on the inside, of course.) The middle body is just the glass and reflector; all of the lamp gear (LEDs, battery, solar cell) are in the top... which also twist-locks onto the body, and not as well as I'd like. If this is on a fence post where nothing can reach it (including cats and branches), the weaknesses will probably never be an issue. On a streetside mailbox post, or on any post where it might get handled, bumped or brushed... I expect to have to find some solution to make it all lock together better. But it looks much nicer than the very plain 'moderne' one it replaced. :)

Better than average solar post cap light.
We live in rural Colorado and need light on our address post. I bought this Davinci Post Cap Light to accomplish that. I like the look, it puts out a decent amount of light to highlight the post our address hangs on (we still need a flood light on the actual number sign), and adds a nice finish to the top of the post. Happy with my purchase. Installation is easy because it comes with various size bases depending on the size of your post. I did the install myself. I'm a woman, but I'm not going to tell you my age. Let's just say it's "up there". Suffice to say if I can do it, anyone can.

Beautiful lights
I love these lights! I bought a bunch of them for my deck - they look great both during the day and lit up at night and are very sturdy (aside from the fact that there’s glass involved, which can only be so sturdy). After a sunny day, I’ve been getting about 8 hours of light out of them. They were working great but one suddenly stopped lighting up. I changed the battery but it’s still not working. I still think it’s a great product so I’m going to return it and get a replacement (once they’re back in stock. Apparently they’re quite popular.)

Dead in one year
First, I attempted three times, once through Amazon and twice through the manufacturers web site to resolve this issue; with no response leaving this review: Bright Side (the good): a. looks nice b. very easy to install on a post cap. In the Dark: (the bad): a. The mount is very flimsy and a couple of times the wind blew the light off of the mount. b. We installed the lights to look good but also detur wildelife at night. The light is pleasant up close but it's just not very bright c. Does not store enough energy to stay lighted through the night. d. One is completely out and not working in less than a year. Verdict: don't buy. I wouldn't have left a review at all if it was still working at a year, this seems like a minimum to me.

Decent But NOT Durable
I so wanted these lights to be better!! I searched for months online and in retail stores before I decided upon this purchase. Just so other consumers don't think I am totally against this product, I have found this product helpful in my situation, and most likely the best product available for my intended usage. It simply does not compare in quality with the rest of the lighting in my yard. I have a 12V lighting system that incorporates over 15 LED lighting fixtures that cost between $80 - $130 a piece. So the quality, color, and high lumen output is incredible! But I needed some type of solar lighting option on an existing wall that surrounds my pool equipment. I simply needed to provide enough light to be able to safely access my pump, filters, or pool lighting at night if needed. And I didn't want to retrofit the existing wall with electric to match my other lighting. I needed a solar option. Do your homework.... most solar lighting is dim, dull, extremely low lumen lighting, mostly on the 2300k to 2700k color spectrum and only 5 - 10 lumens!! That's horrible! My lighting is 3000k to 3500k in color and 200 - 400 lumens per light! These solar lights are far superior to most in specs, and they only offer 25 lumens of 3000k light. Initially these lights were great. 25 lumens was sufficient for my needs and they literally stayed lit at full brightness for 8+ hours! I was pleasantly surprised. But not even 5 months into use, the lights began to dim drastically! The lights still come on at full brightness, but after 2-3 hours, the quality of light it produces diminishes greatly. The light will still remain dimly lit like a tiny night light through 10+ hours of winter darkness here in suburban Phoenix, AZ. And that is the other issue.... we get an ABUNDANCE of sunlight year round to power these solar lights! So that tells me that the batteries are deteriorated and do not hold a full charge. I will replace the batteries, but it appears that will be a constant burden and expense moving forward. Now durability! The solar crystal panels of course were shipped with a removable self-adhesive plastic protective sheet. I removed those, but the permanent protective coating on the panels has completely flaked and peeled of as well! I'm sure it is only a matter of time before the glass solar panels become permanently weather etched and reduces the charging capabilities. So this is where my disappointment comes from, because I originally loved the fact that these lights were constructed of superior aluminum and glass components vs the generic plastic nearly ALL other solar lights are constructed with. That's the true info.... I hope it helps.

LEDs Post lights are bright@!
We purchased 3 of these LEDs for 4 x 4 posts ( actual 3.5 x 3.5). We would purchase again. Instructions were simple. The lights were well packaged. Easy lights to set up for installation. Look great ! Love the taller lamp and base which shows /looks very good. However, description stated light base would fit a 4 x 4 (3.5 x 3.5) post. The base would not slide onto the post such that the screws to be inserted at a stable location. I made a template by tracing the under side of the base. Then, used template to mark posts to correct size. We used a grinder to trim down the posts to 3.25 x 3.25 inches so that cap would fit and be able to install the appropriate screws.

Dim
Rather dim - only good for ornamental purposes.
