For some reason the oil filter for the diesel is not stocked in Halfords or my local parts supplier. I have to order it at least 2 days before I need it. It is also double the price of the petrol equivalent. This filter is currently ÂĢ13 and on Prime next day delivery.The filter is a synthetic material and is supplied with the O ring. Fitting it will of course vary from car to car, but on the Diesel it is a pig of a job as it is tucked away, positioned upside-down and I have to go in blind. It is a right mess. That is no fault of the filter, but I did chuckle when I saw the "easy to fit" comment on the description.I was overdue a service, so when this turned up it was the prompt I needed. It fitted into the housing perfectly and the O ring sat in the filter cover and sealed it up just as well. No leaks and a change of oil done for another 9 months.
