If you're studying A-Level Computer Science, then this book contains all the infomation you'll need to get through the course. It may also be useful for BTEC students studying a similar course.

Review as a teacher using this coursebook to prepare my students for Cambridge Level A(S) 9618. Summary: Good structure, the Kindle format is great for online classes. But it contains quite some mistakes and may lack clarity to be rated as a high-quality coursebook. I would only advise this book if you are using this as a teacher/student pair, so that the teacher can fill in the gaps of the book. Positive aspects: - Given the current health context, purchased the Kindle version which is very practical to use for online classes. - The general structure/content is clear and concise (too concise?). - The "Key Terms" and "What you should already know" boxes are quite useful for the students. - (Kindle-specific) With the digital version, there are many hyperlinks which can help to e.g. directly find the definition of a particular term. Negative aspects: - If a student follows this coursebook without additional guidance, it might lack more detailed / clearer explanations. - Containaing an error or two is normal for all books. But this one contains quite a few mistakes, ranging from classic typos to logic errors in the given pseudocodes! This is not acceptable for such a coursebook, especially if a student is following it by him/herself. - (Kindle-specific) the dynamic page layout can sometimes be confusing.
