Excellent Contact Cement - Very Strong Instant Bond
If you are not familiar with the use of contact cement, you basically coat both parts with the cement, let them dry for the period specified by the manufacturer prior to assembly, then you press the parts together for an instant bond. At least that is how it is supposed to work, and with this glue that is exactly how it works. The bond feels full strength with just a few second of pressing or hammering with a rubber mallet. Used to repair shoes with debonded soles approximately 2 months ago. I waited 24 hours before wearing the shoes for the first time, and after wearing shoes almost every day since there in NO indication of debonding. I dry brushed everything as clean as I could get it, pulled the sole back from the shoe where it was still bonded but weak, made sure there was no loose or flaking material on the bond surfaces, and followed instructions for application and wait time before pressing together. Instant satisfaction (I waited the 24 hours before wearing just to make sure since this would be a highly flexible and stressed bond). Used to glue a new plastic iPhone back case into a leather wallet case approximately 3 months ago. No indication of debonding after 3 months of use. Repaired car interior door panels that were delaminating approximately 2 months ago, no indication of debonding. Carefully stretched the outer fabric over the plastic backing and pressed in place, making sure I got no wrinkles, bond was instant and never moved again. Not even at the very edges where it wrapped around the edge of the plastic backing. I followed the manufactures instructions on the can and on their website (website could have been much better). I found suggestions on leatherworking forums that made sense so I followed them. Suggest cleaning plastic with acetone before applying glue (test small spot first to make sure plastic is not destroyed by the solvent). I cleaned the plastic iPhone back case with acetone and it removed a shinny smooth coating and left the plastic with a flat dull finish that felt perfect for adhesion. On porous material I applied two coats per manufacturer instruction. It is important to realize that the bond is instant upon pressing the parts together and it is unforgiving if you do not line everything up before touching the parts together. It is very easy to get wrinkles in fabric that will be permanent when the glue instantly bonds. Be very afraid in that regard, do a dry run first to make sure you are ready to go, and PAY ATTENTION!

Best Glue for the Job
i make hand made boot and shoes. This glue is the best for keeping areas of high stress together, like glueing shoe soles on.

Works well.
This works quite well. Much better than the no-toluene barge cement. Doesn't gum up too fast. I will use it again.
