Works for me in my studio rack, which is the same company that made these drawers.
Very sturdy. Make sure you buy extra screws made for your rack, if you will be moving things around. I had to order screws because they didn't have ones that fit at Home Depot. The sliding racks are pretty handy if you need to get in and out of them. I put pedals in my rack and found that I needed to get cords with those right angle jacks for some of them. Also, you should account for the reach needed to slide the drawer out. I got it sorted eventually, but it took a while to find flexible enough cords to make the setup work right. I mean... Welcome to the life of a studio musician LOL I chose to have my pedals attach with velcro that sticks to the drawer. Plan your setup with painter's tape first because that stick on velcro is pretty darn sticky. Other options are to zip tie the pedals in place, or to affix some kind of metal or tough plastic bar where it holds the pedal or device in place.

EXCELLENT !! ... But ....
Arrived safely and timely. No damage. Easy to adjust length of rails to fit from how it arrived, in the 14 inch position into the 20 inch position my rack required. The depth from the front of rack to the rear supports is 20 inches. I didn't inspect to determine if this could extend beyond 20 inches though. Two screws on each side. As for its sturdiness, well it has zero "play" or sloppiness in the fully extended position, which is 14" out from rack face. Plenty of reach for my Presonus 16.0.2 mixer. My mixer is 16"x16" and if you need greater depth, consider a piece of Masonite board affixed to this drawer or perhaps a thin sheet of aluminum or tin? The available space back of the 24 inch shelf allows for deeper length of gear, if your rack is also deeper, like mine is at 20 inches. Just a thought. BAD INFO ... hete is the "but" The sliding rails prohibit mounting another rack unit directly below this unit because of how these rails extend just a little bit too far below, like 1/8th inch, enough to leave insufficient room. Now, a blank faceplate yes, if I cut just slightly on each side, then I determined I could mount that, but definitely not a device. I also used a Black Sharpie marker to "paint" the shiny metallic ends of the rails, mixes in better with the All Black front appearance. I hope my thoughts help. I read everyone's notes and they've helped me a lot. Oh, BTW if needed, you could add several XLR connections into the front of the drawer/shelf because the 1ru space is available and would easily accommodate 4 to 6 circular cutouts to mount them. I believe it won't deteriorate the integrity of the physical structures support. That's my opinion. Cheers !!

Difficult to Install but High Quality Product with Great Support
VERDICT : 4/5 stars - High quality once installed, but very difficult to install/assemble. Excellent support from Rising Electronics. PRODUCT : Rising Sliding Rack Server Shelf For Rack 1U 19'' 4 Post Rack Mount-Adjustable 15''-24''Rising Sliding Rack Server Shelf For Rack 1U 19'' 4 Post Rack Mount-Adjustable 15''-24'' OVERVIEW : I purchased this shelf as an accessory for my Rising Electronics 22u Rack Enclosure (B01M9A9FI6) (Product page and review: 22U Wall Mount Network Server Cabinet Rack Enclosure Door Lock 600MM Deep ). This is a mid-depth (~18") sliding shelf designed for mid-size rack enclosures INSTALLATION : This was the most difficult product to install out of everything in my build. There were issues with the components/rails fitting into the enclosure, and required a creative workaround to get in place. There were no instructions included, and it took a call into Rising Electronics support to figure out specifically how to attach the rear rails to the main unit (answer: There are 4x screws with nuts on the main rails, and these should be removed, the rear rails inserted with the hollow side facing out, and the screws/nuts installed in one of the slots at the desired position). Getting the shelf into the rack/rail space required quite a bit of force, creative thinking, and swearing. BUILD QUALITY : Once in place the build quality is excellent. The shelf is sturdy enough to hold anything I would want to put in the rack, the sliding action is just right (locks into place via resistance, easy enough to release, slides effortlessly after that). Even when loaded up with a 5U desktop NAS unit there are no balance issues when fully extended. 5/5 quality once installed. SUPPORT : Rising Electronics has excellent support, and through the course of installing the enclosure, cooling system, and 3x shelves I had to contact them 3x by email and 1x by phone. They are always extremely fast to respond, and they were happy to speak with me when I called them and there was absolutely 0 hold time. I called them and reached someone right away, and she walked down the hall and got one of their engineers to answer my question promptly. Better support than I expect from a server rack vendor and definitely worth doing business with! FINAL VERDICT: 4/5 Starts : Difficult to install, no doubt about it. Once installed the build quality is extremely high, and Rising Electronics is an excellent vendor who will support their products and answer any questions you may have about your project. I would have rated this product 3/5 stars due to installation difficulties, however their excellent support both before and after my purchase warrants bumping this up to 4/5 stars.

Great Quality for the Price - Can't Beat It!
I worked and own a Low Voltage Cabling Company for over 40-Years, and now I am retired. I needed some shelves for my A/V Cabinet at my home. I was used to buying twice to triple the amount for basically the same shelve. You can't go wrong in buying this product. It is made and engineered VERY well and would buy another in a heart beat. I worked with all of the main Commercial/Business manufactures of rack, cabinets and shelves, and I am IMPRESSED. Buy in confidence!

Least $$ I could fine for this. They are sturdy and still working great.
These were a bit short for me. The description is correct. I took the bolts out of the adjustment and got a couple more inches and 3d printed a bracket to bridge the gap.

Quality Slide Tray Incorrectly Assembled
This product was assembled incorrectly by the manufacturer. When I received the sliding tray, the slide rails were installed backwards and inside-out. Consequently the plastic lever locks and stoppers were damaged (but still semi-functional) because the rails were installed backwards. There are other reviews which have reported the same issues. I spent an hour with a more mechanically inclined friend to figure out how the sliding rail was supposed to be attached to the tray and for the sake of the challenge, we set out together to assemble it correctly. In order to do so, the rails had to be completely disassembled, including removing the glide tray which held the ball bearings. After rebuilding the slide rails, the sliding tray works well and is very sturdy. The tray now extends a full 12" and slides smoothly. Although I really like the quality of the components I cannot recommend this sliding tray. I called the company during NBH but the call went to voicemail. No one has returned my call. Further, there are no instructions available from the manufacturer if the rails are installed incorrectly, presumably because it comes preassembled. This could be one of the best products on the market for the price, but there is apparently no quality control. Just be sure you are willing to return or rebuild this item if you order it.

Great shelf for your rack
I needed a strong and large shelf for my rack, strong enough to place my NAS, this was perfect, the arms are quite long, I had to cut them down, but this means it can fit in larger rack. I am happy with it.

Good quality, came with loose hardware
The unit itself it good quality, but the included hardware had stripped threads so I had to replace a few of the screws because the rails were a bit wobbly.

Its depth adjustable and you can flip it upside down to save unit space.
Love it. Its strong which is good since it will be holding a an expensive laptop for my bands in ear monitor setup. Delivery was much quicker then i expected especially days before christmas. With this shelf you can also flip it upside down and place something inside the shelf instead of on top of it like its pictured. I am doing this for security rails for my laptop and to only use 1U of space instead of needing more room for anything on top of the shelf when its pushed into a rack. Width of the interior of the shelf is 15" and depth is 13" incase you do what i did.

Worth it
These sliding shelves allowed me to mount my Thorens turntable inside my cabinet and slide it out for use. It's very strong and slides easily.
