It has an internal battery that holds a charge for a fair amount of time. The guitar also transmits via Bluetooth. So, it doesn’t have to be plugged in to anything. **Q: Do you also release Android apps that are compatible with Jamstik 7?** A: In terms of platform support, it has been difficult for us to fully support the Android platform. While we did port our apps to Android in the past (and those legacy apps are still available on the Google Play Store) we have chosen to focus on iOS & the Google Chrome web browser first. Android has been a slow-growing ecosystem for MIDI devices, mostly due to the lack of low-latency audio support, 3rd party software development, and difficulty due to the variety of devices; many of which won't provide a good Jamstik experience. However, we do want as many users as possible to be able to enjoy the product, so our answer was to create the play.jamstik.com portal for any PC, Mac, or Chromebook users running the Chrome browser. The plan is to continue to evolve this web experience and port it over more fluidly to other platforms, including Android, in the future. Sorry to not be able to say yes, but limited resources make for tough decisions. To see the Jamstik in action at my gig find me on the WWW thuy musique. I was apprehensive prior to purchase being an android /windows user, however, the app works great on Huawei pro 20 mate, update the Jamstik on google using the Jamstik website first . Works on my windows 10 laptop with my DAWs, which are incidentally Reaper and Pro-tools. Midi controls my Roland Cloud VST and other VST like a dream, amazing for playing pads and chords. It is the perfect size since I carry a lot of gear to gigs and taking a full size guitar as well as my other gear, the Jamstick covers keys guitar and a myriad of other instruments. The company are incredible at support and go above and beyond to help. Once adapted to your playing style it functions well and allows me to play ‘piano’ in a way I couldn’t using s keyboard.The strap is essential if you want to play it comfortably as it’s shape makes it difficult to hold and play.
