I picked these up specifically to add some lift to my hair, and the 1-inch (25mm) size is perfect for the job. They give a nice, natural volume without the heat damage of a curling iron. A helpful tip to avoid tangles: The "self-grip" holds very well, but when you are ready to take them out, make sure to unroll them slowly and lift them upwards rather than pulling them straight down. This saves your hair from getting stuck in the velcro. Even though they are self-gripping, I usually add a small clip just to keep them secure while I'm moving around the house. For the price and the quantity (12 pack), they are a great addition to my hair routine

For thinning hair velcro rollers are the best.

I picked up these Kamay hair rollers mainly because they were the cheapest option I could find on Amazon for this size, and sometimes you just need to try the budget route to see if it works. The rollers do create nice curls when they work properly - I was able to get some good results that stayed in place reasonably well. The self-grip feature does function, though I found the grip to be a bit tougher and more aggressive than my older brand rollers. This was a double-edged sword - while they did hold onto my hair, the removal process was more challenging than I’m used to. The 25mm/1” size worked well for the curl pattern I was going for, though I’ve seen some mixed opinions on whether the sizing is exactly as advertised. For my hair length and desired look, they were adequate. Where these really fell short for me was overnight use. I’m someone who likes to sleep in rollers, and these just didn’t have the staying power of my previous brand. They would work loose during the night, which defeated the purpose. My older rollers would hold securely all night, but these couldn’t match that performance. I suspect that with different securing techniques or perhaps some clips, these might work better. I’ll admit I’m not a roller expert, so there may be methods I haven’t tried that would improve the results. The basic functionality is there - they do grip and they do create curls. For the price point, they’re not terrible if you’re looking for a budget option for occasional use or quick styling sessions. However, if you’re someone who relies on rollers regularly or wants to sleep in them, I’d recommend investing in a higher-quality brand. I love these. My family that have thick long hair they do not stay without Bobby pins but still useful. Easy and quick to put in. My hair dries fast so I can put these in daily while getting ready to go out and within 2 hours I'm ready to go. Not for all hair types I imagin. I love the fact I can curl my hair without heat because my hair damages easily from heat (irons and blow dryers). If having trouble getting them to stay, put less hair in each curler or use Bobby pins or clips. They have a type of velcro (hooks) that hold hair but they are only so long. After I roll the hair I slightly push into my scalp and wiggle the curler until I feel the rough hooks on my scalp. That helps them stay in the best.these are firm plastic so not able to sleep in them

Does the job

I needed a replacement for some velcro rollers that were falling to bits. I have very short, fine hair so these self stick rollers are perfect for me. They are marvellous for giving my hair some body and style. Would not hesitate to recommend them.
