Supacaz Fly Alloy Bottle Cage - 18g

**edit** I threw both of my water bottle cages in the trashcan. I kept losing water bottles on bumpy Mountain bike rides. This is very nice looking and may be ok for a road bike that never hits any bumps but I wouldn't ever consider putting this on a mountain bike. There is no lip on the tip that holds bottles in like other brands out there. I do some small tabletop jumps on my front suspension bike and ride fast on downhill sections but nothing too crazy. I just ended up not trusting the cage to hold my water. After I lost two different water bottles and lost one and then ran over it with my rear tire I decided the trash was the best place for this gear.I wanted to like this bottle cage. so much so that I purchased 2 at the same time to match my bike's colors. Unfortunately the metal is WAY too thin. It bends very easily and I'm constantly bending it back into shape from time to time. The worst part about it is the very bottom bracket that actually holds the water bottle from sliding down more always bends down.... significantly. This has bent so much that I created a stainless steel lower angle bracket to "help" along the water bottle out and not fail outright. I really like how the thing looks but don't take it on a mountain bike ride while taking a few mild jumps on the way down. This may be for pavement roads only. Just my 2 cents.

I really like these cages. They look great and both of the cages I ordered came in just a hair under the claimed 18g on my scale- 0.1g under and 0.2g under. They are working fine on my road bike after several weeks of riding 5-6 times per week. They are probably not strong enough to hold a full water bottle on a mountain bike ride. Some of the anodizing has worn away on the inside of the cage where I slide the bottle in/out, but the outside still looks great.

Bought 3, all arrived squished. This is NOT an item to package in a padded envelope AMAZON. adjust your shipping metrics.The cage is great..... just NOT if you buy from Amazon, because you won't be able to use it. Buy it local.

Looks great, fairly lightweight, and easy to install.If the color matches your bike, go for it. It’s a good quality cage.

The rainbow slick oil look is not consistent. I reached out to seller and they offered no option to exchange :/ poor customer service

Color looks great, but the edges are unfinished, ragged, and serrated making the whole bottle cage look cheap. Truly disappointing for such expensive bottle cage.

Let's get this part out of the way... the bottle cage is nice. I bought the Oil Slick version and I'm happy with it.What I'm very unhappy with are the cheap aluminium bolts supplied with the bottle cages. When tightened with a quality hex wrench, the bolts were so soft that they rounded and the bolts could not be loosened.In order to remove the bolts, I needed to hack the top of the bolt off, drill the bolt out, and then use thread tap to clean out the remains of the bolt from my bike frame. This was a very stressful experience. Luckily, I have the skills to do this, although I needed to buy the thread tap to be able to do this job.

Great bottle cage, shame about Amazon’s decision to ship it in a flat package! Arrived squashed with fatigue marks in the metal. Requested a return which although arrived quickly was also shipped in an envelope style box arriving bent! No use requesting or ordering another until Amazon sort out the shipping so have asked for a refund this time. Big shame as loved the look of this cage (have it in other colours but bought from seller who knows how to package them).

Der Flaschenhalter ist extrem leicht und sehr steif. Ich finde ihn sehr straff, er könnte also durchaus an den Flaschen reiben. Die Flaschen sitzen sehr fest. Die Optik am schwarzen Rahmen ist sehr gefällig und die Verarbeitung sehr gut.Zum Halter gehören zwei sehr leichte Schrauben.Wer etwas flexibleres in dieser Gewichtsklasse möchte, muss auf Carbon oder Titan ausweichen.

die Farbe des Flaschenhalters ist top. Die Funktion ist miserabel. Er verbiegt sich leicht, die Flasche klappert und fällt dauernd raus. Für den Preis habe ich qualitativ etwas besseres erwartet und rate klar vom Kauf ab.
