the key is glued bot this 10 times stronger than the original. you have get the the new key recutethe ney case is ten times stronger than the original. you have to get new key cut. $30.oo try the dealer its about 200.00

It also comes with the uncut key. It can't be removed. It works just fine with my Honda 2009 Civic. I got the key cut for $50 and used the old transponder that came with the original fob shell.

This new key must be cut, or ground to match the pattern of the original key. Also, the new key does not have the electronics in it to work with your vehicle. You can take the electronics out of your old key and put it in the new one. Either way, the new key must be cut to match the old one. You can take it to a hardware store, such as ACE, or Lowes or Home Depot, etc to get it ground. Take the old key to use as the pattern.
