It comes with a three soft rubber blue bezels of different shapes for attaching to the air inlet side of the fan. There is a plastic plate that attaches to the underside of the fan for stabilizing. It appears that this fan is meant to be placed against the exhaust port of the laptop to increase air flow. The fan unit has a on/off speed control. When unit is on a red led light on top goes on. The fan is lightweight plastic and a bit bulky. Not quiet like newer computer fans but noise level is OK. Good air flow.With that said, fan is being used for cooling other stuff like a Dish receiver. Plugged into the USB port of the equipment. Instead of using the fan on the exhaust side out of equipment , it is being used to force more air into the input side - basically augmenting the existing fan of the equipment. Even at the lowest fan setting, the equipment runs cooler.
