If interior, what is the total diameter?** A: This is the inside diameter, we just add the oganic glass cotton outside which will isolate noise effectly. The original pipe (just plastic) got very hot and surely must have been putting heat back into the room (not what you want)…so I purchased this. It’s a bigger pipe so had to cut a bigger hole in the wall…not a drama as wanted to upgrade from 4 inch to 6 inch anyway. The pipe doesn’t even feel warm when it’s on. It’s nice and thick and insulated well. It could be cut shorter although (and I’ve done it before with another) it is a bit of a faff…but if you want it done properly.
