It is lightweight and fragile but works as expected. We used Industrial Strength Low Profile Velcro dots to attach it to the ceiling. We did take measurements before purchasing the medallion. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Make sure you purchase medallions that are of sufficient diameter *by L***Y on January 28, 2020* I liked the medallions being split. It would have made Installation a snap. Very important to make sure that the diameter is sufficiently large enough to extend past the shadow line that is cast by the ceiling fan/light .
