Traditionally the old way is to bend them to get cubes out and after a while the plastic cracks. Fast forward to today and the plastic is so thin it cracks in a day or two. Behold, here comes the solution to put silicon on the bottoms and instead of bending the tray just push them which requires way too much work!These trays may cost a little more than your Walmart trays or the Dollar Tree. But, you know what?They bend. And if you need to push them out you can but probably wont need too. One small bend and the ice breaks loose and viola no effort as it should be.These are the best trays around and are higher quality where you can bend them without cracking it.In addition, push the silicon for the one or two that may get left behind. The tray covers are real nice to avoid getting things into the tray while it freezes and keeps odor out.I didn't think there is alot you could say about an ice tray. But, this brand of tray is the one your looking for without a fuss. I had no issues, loved that it had a lid, happy that the cubes were individual. Now I just started using the 2nd and 3rd. And the first use of the 2nd? Broke. Immediately. Wouldn't release the cubes easily, and when I gave it a twist, it snapped in 3 pieces. Not happy. Haven't tried releasing the cubes in the third yet but I'm not looking forward to it.Updated 10/21/20...broken.
