Racing Hyrax 1.9 Predator Tires 2 PRO1012803 RC Tire

I am very happy with these tires and would recommend them to anyone. After alot of research I paired them with some 3d inserts and im amazed at how well they perform. They twist and pull like crazy without tearing and provide tons of grip. These have helped my little jeep punch well above its weight class.

Everyone said get these tires, you won't be disappointed. Everyone was right! Cut stock foams and Treal wheels on my scale crawler are impressive after the first crawl.

For me, the hype has been real on these. The traction is awesome once I got enough weight into my 1/10 scale crawler to properly deform Pro-Line's dual-stage foams. That weight was over the 6 lbs mark. Prior to that, my SCX10 III wasn't pushing on these foams hard enough to really get things working they way you want (simulating low air pressure to really hook up). Although they were quite expensive, they did come with the famed foams and I'm not only impressed with the performance, but by the treadwear! After probably dozens of hours on them and not worried the slightest about abuse like spinning, drifting and locking against sharp edges, they seem to have barely lost any tread depth. It almost seems like they will last forever, which would be almost a shame as I'd like to try some other options eventually from both Pro-Line and maybe Injora (large lugs), perhaps with even softer supports like 3d-printed silicone instead of foam, but my concern is I wouldn't be as impressed with the traction for general trail and extreme rock use. I don't mud-abuse my truck very often which is why I chose this tread pattern, but these have no real issues any other tire wouldn't have with generally loam-wet trails and wet rocks. Their value for the money is still a question mark for me until I could compare head-on with a far cheaper brand on my own trails, but my enjoyment with them and knowledge that I have something reasonably good based on other reviews, and that they can function as a good point-of-reference benchmark, has all been 5-stars.

I hesitated to buy these tires, there was/is quite a bit of hype for them, that actually turns me off. Well I went ahead and bought them after awhile and I am glad I did. These tires are awesome, extremely soft, open tread pattern, and they look nice with rubber molded writing on the side walls. The tires are incredible for trailing and rock crawling. I mounted them on an Axial SCX 10 II and the performance of the truck has increased dramatically. You can actually see the tire deform and bite where before my stock tires would just spin. I easily made it over obstacles that were impossible before. The foams that come with the tire seem good to me, as I have said, you can visibly see the tire deform and bite on obstacles. I have already ordered another set for my Redcat Axe.

With rock crawler kits, this is my automatic go-to tire. With the RTRs that I've purchased, I try to use the stock tires but have been consistently disappointed in their performance. If you've never tried the Hyrax in the Predator compound, then you might think that the tire you're given is okay. You'd be right; it's just okay. The wear on the Predator compound seems to be greater, and that's to be expected. It's very soft and sticky. As for the recommended foam insert, that's up to your need. I like using the two-stage foams from Pro-line. I believe there are less expensive copies made by others, but the reviews seem to indicate that the quality control is poor. For rock crawlers, the Predator compound is recommended. For racers, I'd suggest that you try the G8 compound that's a little stiffer.

I previously used the All-in RC crawler tires on Amazon that came with dual-stage foamers under the mindset of "how bad could they be?".. Now, that's not to say those were bad by any stretch, I've gotten a lot of good use out of them. After shredding a tire accidentally, I figured I seldom replace RC tires, let me try these out for a change. Immediately, you can feel the difference in the compound. The tread pattern is mirrored by numerous brands out there, but without question these grip better in both wet and dry conditions. I am by no stretch into competitive crawling, but my buddies and I always enjoy a little competition anytime we hit the trails, and the prolines have made a genuine difference in performance compared to my previous tires. My recommendation is, if you can spare the extra $ for these over imitation brands, you will be happy you did. After having put somewhere on the order of 300-400 in upgrades on my crawler over the past few years, I would rate these as the best upgrade dollar for dollar. Happy crawling.

Die Reifen sind sehr weich und bieten wirklich enormen Grip. Auch die optisch wirkt sehr scalig und passt pefekt zb zum TRX 4. Sollte das Fahrzeug recht schwer ein müsste eventuell die Reifeneinlage getauscht werden um das Verdrehen des Gummis zu mindern. Mein TRX4 mit ca. 5 kg fährt damit wirklich super.
