No support... Not very happy.

Apparently, this board isn't supported anymore by the manufacturer, and has no reference under the main download section of the site (digging around reveals an old list of images not updated since Apr 2016). Per the description in this item page, I went over to the Armbian site, and grabbed the latest image for "desktop".Everything went smoothly with the image install and first bootup. However, only wireless correctly functioned, and not the gigabit interface. After two hours of tinkering, I still cannot figure out what is breaking routing for that interface. If I cannot figure it out, I'll be forced to return as I solely bought it for gigabit support.

Not a cheap Raspberry Pi

This device is exactly what is documented by the Banana Pi documentation. If you're looking for a cheap version of a raspberry pi, however, this is not it. It took a bit to find the correct operating system for it. Then I had to dig around for a proper GPIO and Wiring Pi library. If you don't mind groundwork or frustainment, this is a fun little device.

10/100/1000 connection.

Works great. I have Armbian installed on it. Works good for RTL-SDR server. It's helps having a 10/100/1000 connection. The Raspberry Pi doesn't offer the 1000 connection.

Not recommended for media centers

Not for beginners. Very little support for this board. Not recommended for media centers. Better suited for desktop or server environment.

It is outdated and the manufacturer doesn’t support it.

It was dead on arrival.

Not ready for prime time

A lot of yhi ngs do not work right using their ubuntu mate 16 image especially having the problem with hdmi display. The software porting is poor. I do not think it is ready for prime time yet. If you want to use similar board for real products, stick to the original Raspberry PI although its hardware spec. Is a little bit shy. The most important thing is it is stable.
