It is perfect timer. Very simple to use. Long battery life. I used it to time my daughter's seizures. Simple to use when you're scared and not thinking clearly. Extremely helpful. The teachers appreciate it as well.

This is a big, basic, easy to work and read timer. The only criticism I have of it is that it is a royal pain to change the button batteries. They fit very, very tightly into their hole, and they really do not want to come out of their little compartment.

So easy to use. Press the green button to start, the red one to stop and the yellow to clear. Bought them for my 3 grandsons, 11, 9,and 5 and they loved them. I made an obstacle course for them to run and because of age differences they could not compete with each other instead kept trying to improve their own times. Worked out great

Just arrived and so far, so good. Love the simplicity. I had a "Sportline Go Walking" model from Sports Authority before this, and the buttons on that one were so cheap that one fell off. This one seems much sturdier so far, and much more user-friendly.Hopefully the company will see this: I am giving a 4 instead of 5 because:1) It is way too big. I work with kids and carry a travel bag with many goodies, so I like to pack light. I didn't realize the massive size of this device when I ordered it. Much bigger than the average stopwatch. The digital font size is nice and big, but the unit itself is too over-sized. I can't fathom there being that many electronics inside it that warrant making it so big.2) It's made in China. That's the main reason I'm not giving it a 5. "Learning Resources" brand, how about hiring American workers to make goods here in our country? And don't give me that "everything is made in China" nonsense. It's about time we reverse that trend and expect more from American companies!3) How about giving customers a color choice? I don't care since I'm a grown up, but if it's for a kid, it's fun to have a choice! I got blue and purple by the way.Overall, good stopwatch!

Well worth the money. I purchased for my six year old dughter to keep track of her time for a school reading log. She uses it for reading and her mad math minutes as well as timing her sister holding her breath in the pool...Pros:• Super simple function, easy for a young child to operate• Only three buttons Start, Resume, Clear so they can read in the morning, time themselves and resume timing themselves in the evening and clear the timer at any point. In our case, the next day.• Item is sturdy, it goes inside, outside and on car trips• Battery was included to she could use it right out of the box

Bought these two stop watches so my elderly parents who have memory issues could each time their workouts with a super simple stopwatch. The timers on exercise machines are getting a little too tricky for Mom, she now thinks 1:00 is 100 minutes and stops too soon. doh! So I plan to cover up the seconds so she only sees minutes. The simple buttons "hit green, hit red" seem better than using the sophisticated digital timers too. The watch seems to work great and I have high hopes, that is if Dad can model and help. Unfortunately both stopwatches came in purple and blue. I could try writing their names on the watches but it's not as good as color coding. There's no way to request specific colors or contact the seller, Learning Resources privately - ok, maybe there is and I just don't know how to do this. I see that the seller sent a watch in a different color when this happened to another customer so I wrote this review in case they still monitor comments. Otherwise, will try writing on them. or if the watches really work well, I might try ordering one more, as a "color lottery"! It's just an experiment, here's hoping.

I bought this for my 5 year old dawdler. She loves it! It is super-simple to use (the green button means "go," the red means "stop," and yellow means "clear") and she's having a blast using it to time everything. The only way I could see to improve this product is to include an adjustable string for wearing around the neck, rather than the un-adjustable one it comes with. I think my child would wear the stop watch constantly if it weren't for the fact that it's a little long on her. Highly recommend.UPDATE 8/2015: After years of my little kids using this stopwatch, the buttons got pretty gummed up (probably from food and drink) and didn't always work when we pressed them. So I bought a new one. Works beautifully...and we STILL use it for home school and timing dawdlers around the house.
