This antenna works really well
With the price of cable and streaming services going up, I like to be able to get my local networks with an antenna so that I can get a less expensive streaming cable service. I had done this before and decided to minimize my streaming services and go with an antenna again. Since I had done this before, I had some older high end (for the time) antennas already so I decided to try them. I also like to be able to record my ota (over the air) networks so I also had a separate tuner with recording capabilities. Although the older antennas were high end at the time, they didn't really pull in the stations strong. I decided to go out and get a new tuner with recording capabilities and a multidirectional antenna. This worked fairly good, but I had to adjust the antenna for different stations constantly moving it. I didn't like this because when I wasn't home and wanted to record a tv program, I wasn't there to turn the multidirectional antenna for the best reception and several times got pixilated recordings. There is a couple of things that you have to think about when buying an antenna and tuner. For the tuner, make sure that the tuner is high quality and sensitive and able to pull in your local networks. When looking for an antenna, first find out where your networks are broadcasting from. I found that mine were in several different directions, so a standard directional antenna wouldn't pick up all the networks. The multidirectional picked them up better, but there were still challenges with that. This antenna is an omni-directional antenna and has a really nice range. This antenna is rated as an outdoor or attic antenna, but I had to mount it indoor on the first floor and even with that this is the best reception I have gotten. I get all the channels very clear with no pixilation. Between the antennas new technology and the design, this thing works really well. The size is smaller than I thought and it can be easily mounted on a wall or even a stand. I think that the price is fair as you are saving money not having to pay monthly fees for the free ota networks. 5 stars for this antenna.

Easy install truly omnidirectional
Nice sleek design and well built. Easy install. The amplifier is the best and simplest one since you don’t have to fiddle with adjusting gain and what not. I’m in between two markets and picked up channels from both but lost some I have with my old Antop Big Boy antenna. Couldn’t see spending the money to break even so I returned it. Perhaps if the antenna was larger to expand its range it would perform better. This would be great for an RV since it’s truly omnidirectional. But you may improve reception by angling the antenna and rotating it. That worked for me. I gave it 4 stars due to a couple of shortcomings. It can use a base for indoor use, like the Antop Big Boy antenna, would be great Also the coaxial cable supplied is, to put it frankly, a joke. Buy a quality solid copper core coaxial cable. Especially if you have long cable runs and multiple TVs I read a previous review that water got into the top where the top piece sticks out. A bit of silicone should fix that. All in all I highly recommend this antenna for those between markets and RVers. Also the ease of use and installation is great for the DIYer and the newbie cord cutter.

Easy setup, works as advertised!
I live in an area where we have two hi-band VHF stations, and the rest are UHF — after some adjusting, this antenna did a great job of pulling-in everything from the main transmitter location, and even found a few of the Digital Replacement Translators in the market that are 42, 43 and 46 miles away and in different directions — one is even a Low-V! Mine is in the attic and would likely do better if I had a good place to put it outside.

Works well when replace the wall wart power supply with a transformer class 2 power pack.
07/30/2023 Update: Sadly, this antenna has failed in 9 months because its not water proof on the top where the verticle element sits. There is no seal or oring and water has leaked inside and filled it up completely. Changed this review to 1-star because I emailed the company directly for warranty support and like others have stated, NO responce from Antop USA whats so ever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This antenna was used for a house antenna. It does work and was surprised that it indeed picks up the stronger local stations, but because it came with a switch mode power pack, even with no built in ferrite bead choke (you know, that budge on the ends of some cables) some stations with less than 75 out of 100 full strength comes in pixelated and many errors. Its a very bad choice to include the modern day switch mode power pack for any receiver or any rf receiving type product. Switching type power packs are inherently very noisy and spray hash and interference into itself and the antenna's pre-amp. Had to dig in my 1980's junk box and replace the power pack with a 12 volt class 2 transformer type power pack and now the error count on weaker stations and pixelation is now gone and gets all the local stations 100% solid copy. Gave this product 3 stars for picture quality in part because of the not so proper power pack problem. Other than that, the omni direction works very well for locations with channels in different directions and no turning or aiming the antenna is nice. For future improvment, please include a class 2 power pack, thanks....
