AKOENY Men's Athletic Cushion Ankle Socks Running Quarter (6 Pairs)

I had never heard of this brand before, but these socks are reasonably good quality. They are a little higher than average ankle socks which is exactly what I was looking for to provide more secure coverage over ankles and that work with lower-cut, over-ankle hiking shoes. The material is better quality, finer woven but more substantial and more suitable for active lifestyle than the typical mass production budget socks. Tired of cheap socks from Wallie and name brand manufacturers that deteriorate and have holes after several washings, I researched all similar socks on Amazon and other online sellers and was not disappointed in selecting these. A reasonable value and definitely better cost effectiveness than socks that fall apart after several washings.

I had previously purchased these quarter-height socks a few years ago. I needed another six. To my surprise, these socks fit even better than before. They seem to have added about a half-inch to how high up on the ankle they go, which was a perfect improvement. Before they were almost a little too short, but since they were the perfect thickness and fit fine otherwise, I decided to give them another try. Was I glad I did.

I have purchased at least 3 times of the 6-pack over the past three years. I love those socks because its thickness, warmth, cushioning, and quarter length are perfect for my walking, running, and other activities. So I really enjoy wearing them all the time, but I found myself regularly having to discard them because of holes and rips found at the heels due to friction. I believe regular socks last 6-12 months, but those socks last less than 6 months even I rotate with 10 or more pairs each week. All the rips are on the same spot on the heels while rest of the socks still look in good condition. I recommend people try those socks but definitely hope manufacturer add a bit more padding on the heel to extend their life expectancy.
