Am not quite sure how i feel about this product, i made my own hair product and i put the right amount of Leucidal base on the quantity of hair cream i made, however its exactly 1 week since i made it and i realized its full of mould2. Both my used and unused containers. I will try again and double the amount of Leucidal i use but this shouldn'5t have happened. Makes me wonder about the authenticity of this product and its already very expensive. 1

I use this along with "linatural" in my lotion and cream recipes. Togther they make a powerful preservative system, "that is based on natural science. " This product alone WILL NOT be powerful enough to preserve lotions. Yet with the addition of Linatural (or Amticide Coconut,or other broad spectrum preservative) it is part of a strong system to keep your lotions and other water based emulsions safe for use and free of bacteria, mold, and other contaminants. It's SO nice to have a safe alternative to parabens in lotion making.

This was my first preservative when I started doing my diy body products. I did a lot of research to find the most natural preservative. Leucidal came up in my search engine. Only thing it’s not always available. I’ve tried other preservative but was disappointed. It could be because certain preservative do not mix in certain ingredients. There are different brands but I’ve realized to stick to what works best in the first place.

As someone passionate about creating safe homemade skincare and haircare products, finding a trustworthy natural preservative is essential. Resurrectionbeauty’s Leucidal SF Liquid has proven to be a dependable option, and I’m pleased to share my experience with it. This preservative comes in a clear, odourless liquid form, making it easy to incorporate into various formulations without altering scent or appearance. Its primary benefits over other options include moisturising properties for the skin and scalp, which adds a nourishing touch to my DIY recipes. The skin calming effects have been useful in an emulsified lotion I made for my eczema and psoriasis prone skin and also in a homemade shampoo. It definitely helped soothe areas that were red and irritated. This preservative, though, protects the product, not the skin from bacterial growth. As a preservative, Leucidal SF performed exactly as I expected. When combined with AMTicide, it seems to offer broad-spectrum protection for my formulations - keeping them fresh for at least three months. While I haven't subjected samples to lab testing for microbial growth, my practical experience suggests satisfactory short-term stability and that is all I need. However, it’s important to note that Leucidal SF is designed to protect against bacterial growth but does not inhibit yeast or mold. This is crucial information for anyone making cosmetics at home. Combining it with a complementary preservative like AMTicide appears to be an effective strategy. Purchasers who are not aware of this and use Leucidal SF liquid without a product that protects against mould growth are likely to be disappointed. Leucidal SF is difficult to source in the UK so I was grateful for the opportunity to purchase a small volume of it. My impression is that it is a high quality product but this listing is grossly overpriced and therefore, the product does not represent good value for money.

This leucidal liquid comes conveniently in a glass dropper bottle. It has almost no scent to it, and it works really well to bind liquids and oils together. It's natural, easy to use, and a must for those who love making homemade skincare products. I've used it in my natural facial scrub, and it works really well. The aloe vera gel and plant oils blended easily. I highly recommend it!
