Third-world trash
Unboxed the product and a third of the seams were already frayed. It's thin, fragile, and not long for this world if you put it on your TC. Better off wrapping it in aluminum foil than this trash. Sad as DEI used to make quality product but now their stuff seems to be made in a Guangzhao factory where half the workers have the 'rona but are forced to keep working on the floor.

Keep your turbo warm when it's cold outside!
An extremely well made product from what I can tell, a lot thicker than I thought it would be and what appears to be very thick high quality stitching. The wire is quite stiff and appears to be SS. I have been using and been a fan of DEIs products for a lot of years and use several of their other heat managewment items currently in the application this was to go into (Volvo P2 S60 2.3 T5). Here's the thing, I replacing the stock 16T with a 19T and it simply doesnt fit. The GT22 shield is just too big to really fit at all on the TD04HL hot side. Unfortunately, this is the smallest unit they make, so Im outta luck for a blanket. I just don't see another brand i 1) feel good about 2) believe won't burn my car to the ground or 3) just fall apart in a few months. Not the end of the world, the hot side is already swaincoated, this was going to be a hat on a hat, I knew that, but more heat reduction in the bay is always a good thing. So why give it 5 stars? Well, it is clearly very well made (bums me out i can't use it), and it's not DEIs fault it doesn't fit, the TD04 hot side is just too wimpy for the GT22 shield. I have used their blanket on a t3/04b and it fit great, so it's not a design issue. Bummer for me, but for those that have a hot side that this fits, I would go so far as to say it's worth every penny. I use their Ti wrap and its great, buit that's another review. FYI, while yes, sure, you can take it off if you need to service the turbo, but be aware, that once you start heat cycling this thing, it gets brittle, not a flaw, thats just the way the material is, so plan ahead and slap this puppy on when you are done with all the fiddly bits so you don;t have to go taking it off after install (and full temp cycling). Take all of this as you will, it's just my 2 bits.

The heat shield started ripping and fraying everywhere
This product was good until it started to fray and now the whole thing is destroyed. I’m not sure it even does it’s job anymore. Looks horrible in my engine bay. I would love to get a replacement to see if I just got a defective unit. Please reply to me I couldn’t find out how to talk to service department

Works great. Reduced underhood temps instantly
Works great. Reduced underhood temps instantly. I've also noticed better engine coolant temps as my turbo's smashed up next to my block.Max heat off the cover so far tends to be around 200(F) degree's. Turbo's around 600-800(F).IT WORKS...One thing I'd recommend if possible is to remove the turbo before install. I had originally placed mine on while the turbo was mounted on the ex manifold... This caused some issues when trying to strap it down. It might be a lot of work but will definitely pay off as you can ensure proper placement and snug it on better.

Be carful installing
Tore at one of the metal hooks for the wire to wrap around during installation, never saw a heat cycle. Fit well onto the size turbo, comes with all the hardware needed

Love hate
I have a love hate with DEI titanium warp products. Keep in mind these after a while will need to be replaced that is all i will say. Anything with high HP and heat cycles will be going through these every season as it becomes brittle and falls off gradually. A good option is to wrap the warp and safety wire it which is what i did this round and it is a technique I'll be using forever after I see how great the results are. Take that tip to the bank

The best for the best
We do not get these readily available in the UK. It is one of the best turbo blankets that money can buy. All the rest just fall apart, this one does its job and keeps looking good!
