ADD FUN TO YOUR READING
As a homeschooling mother to an 8 yr. old third grader, who struggles with reading, I was ecstatic to see these!! I started homeschooling in the middle of second grade when my son's school said they were going to pass him to the next grade anyway, even though he clearly wasn't ready in the reading dept.!! I suggested they hold him back a year so he wouldn't be so behind, and they replied, "oh, that's not really possible.. You would have to go to the State Board of Education and put in a request for that, and it almost never happens." So much for the "No child left behind.." My son, if he had been pushed on into the third grade, would CLEARLY have been behind, and struggling to keep up.. He excels in Math, and all other subjects, but for some reason, just doesn't have the confidence and is a hesitant reader..My husband and I made the decision to pull him out of the wonderful public school system, and I would school him at home with Christian curriculum that is used in private schools that you can buy directly from Private/Home School dealers. Items such as these have made such a difference!! I try to make his difficult subject a game by having him pick out a block out of a bag with his eyes closed.. Then whichever story we are reading for the day, he has to "search" for that answer in the story..Thus increasing his comprehension abilities..When I began teaching him, his abilities were at zero!! He has improved by leaps and bounds! These are great assets to help a struggling reader, or to just bring fun to your reading class!!

Common Core small group resource! This is fantastic for our Second Grade Class Literacy Stations!
I got these for the second graders that I work with and we use the new Common Core method. These have been fantastic not only for when we break into morning Literacy Stations but also when we do our "whole group" time, reading together on the carpet, and the kids have to answer questions about the main idea, character traits, how they might relate to the characters, or change the ending or title, and so much more! Plus it has the added bonus of letting the kids roll a die so they think it is a game while they are learning, always a great thing. Some of the tutors have taken to borrowing the cubes when we are not using them for their work with one, two, or three children and they work on the advanced learners as well as those who are advanced students in training! We are waiting for more PTA money in the spring to get the other sets of dice to complete our set. Thank you for helping the children with this wonderful idea.

Fantastic Product
These are fantastic! - my son (7 y/o) struggles with ADHD which really affects his reading comprehension. He does not like doing school work or reading. This got him to play along and practice his comprehension without realizing he was "working" or "learning"! we would just pick one of his books and roll each color dice a few times, 20 minutes a day really has made a difference.

Excellent Resource
This came and I used it the first day in my guided reading group. The kids loved it ---- they couldn't wait to play a game. Great questions and fun to use.

Perfect at home or as a classroom gift for the start of the year!
I purchased two sets of these and sent one in to my son's teacher. The students loved using them in the classroom and they make a fun game to play while reading at home with my son. Would give higher rating if i could!

Brought this to help my son expand his vocab, imagination, presentation, comprehension etc as part of an effort to help with his English comp. Fun way to ask a few questions to help probe and understand a story/text far in far more depth

Me gustó el tamaño, es más grande de lo que imaginé. Lo único que no me encantó mucho fue el material.. me parece que hay que tener cuidado para que no se rompa... sobretodo si hay niños pequeños o mascotas.

Thought these were going to be bigger than what they were but I probably didn't read the description well. They will be a great addition to my classroom for a reading comprehension. Children have a choice of versatile questions that can be applied to most books. I have previously used book reviews for children show understanding but this is something new, kinaesthetic and more child lead as they can decide what to answer.
