I'm using this in an industrial application as a Wi-Fi bridge for a piece of manufacturing equipment. It was easy to set up, has worked reliably, and performance is good.

We wanted to put our ethernet enabled printer in a place that was not near any of our computers and where it would be difficult to run cable and still have it appear on the network. Once setup it works flawlessly and I've never had to touch it again. Setup was a bit frustrating. The documentation is pretty detailed but I found it a bit difficult to follow. But I did manage to get it to work.

Needed this product for my home and it made a great difference in getting great wifi signals.

Worked perfect. Follow the directions exactly, and it will work. I used it as a wifi bridge for my security cameras and it's fast enough that I have no buffering or lag

Poor range and the network drops frequently. It takes about 15 minutes to get it back. I threw in trash.

This is what I needed -- small router that can be configured for CAT to Wifi point. (From default, which is from Wifi to wired access). The one thing I reeeally don't like about these, is that firmware upgrades, according to instructions, direct you to completely factory reset afterwards and then re-configure the router. This is not practical after some use-case installations. (Our are stored high up in outdoor utility boxes.)Firmware upgrades on routers generally are important for security purposes -- but not practical in our case :(

This device gets a star for doing what it claims despite many setup bugs. However, I really can't recommend it to anyone due to the major security issues. It's the worst that I've ever seen.1.) There is a secret second admin account named "vonets" with the same password "vonets26642519" for everyone. I would call this a backdoor.2.) When you tell it to update itself, it connects to an unsecured FTP server in China downloads an unencrypted update, and blindly installs it. This is the only way to update it.There are several more, but I'll leave it there. There's sometimes a thin line between incompetence and malice, but Vonets crosses that line brazenly.Dangerous. Avoid.

needed this as a Wireless Access Point.this is second one purchased.First one died within a week of lite use. never got it to work properly.note this device works well as wifi repeater... great value if that is your intended usage.tech support was very friendly and helpful... but based in china?... phone support not possible, email support takes 24hrs for response.couple issues:1. 2.4ghz will not auto assign an IP when used as Wireless Access Point.... even setting manually does not work properly. This issue was encountered with 3 different Vonets models.. implies software issue, not hardware. the 2.4ghz software appears to disable DHCP once connected as Wireless Access Point.2. 5ghz works very well for all functions.3. USB power is not always enough for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz to run simultaneously (this is default setting). when plugged into some devices the 5ghz never turns on (lack of power). this can be RESOLVED two ways: A. change power source, DC wall power source or using a more modern USB power source. B. disabling the 2.4ghz using provided software so only 5ghz is operational.4. the included software is robust and user friendly.5. the included instructions are weak... check Amazon or YouTube for better reviews/tips.6. 'reset to default' ... a button on the device.. does not work as manual says (it if works at all) VERY IMPORTANT: DEVICE MUST BE ON FOR AT LEAST 60 SECONDS PRIOR TO 'HARD RESET TO DEFAULT' DO NOT INTERUPT POWER DURING THIS PROCESS ... DOING SO WILL CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO DEVICE. PRESS BUTTON FOR 5 SECONDS, RELEASE, DEVICE WILL DO NOTHING FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS... THEN IT REBOOTS. WAIT ANOTHER 2 MINUTES FOR DEVICE TO RESET ITSELF AND FULLy RECOVER.7. device gets HOT.. . avoid heat sources when in use... direct summer sunlight will likely cause permanent damage.over all a good design, useful software, and good performance.some 'fine tuning' of the design and software would make this best of class.

I would not recommend this product. The web interface is flakey and it's built in fan is noisy. It runs hot which means there is wasted power. It uses enough power that you have to use an external adapter making it messy to use with a laptop.

It’s possible I got a defective device. The 5G performance is extremely poor. Getting less than 1Mbps when placed just next to my Wifi router. The device also makes a high pitch hissing noise when 5G is active. 2.4G connection seems to work okay.
