Great for Dual Battery Marine Installation
This high current 12V relay was used to add a 2nd battery to my Malibu Response Inboard Skiboat (See attached schematic). A. Wiring and Installation: With the addition of: Heavy Gage Starter Cables, Silicon Diode, White LED, LED Resistor and SPDT Switch; two AGM Sealed LeadAcid 12V Batteries were installed in the battery nook of the boat. The compact LED assembly and Switch was mounted on top of the Relay. The Relay was secured to the battery bulkhead with Stainless Steel screws. B. Operation: The switch provides two operating Modes: 1-Ignition, 2-On. 1. The default condition is with the switch set for IGNITION operation. When the boat's ignition is activated via the key, the 12V ignition wire activates the relay and adds the 2nd battery in parallel to the primary. This supplies 12V power when the ignition is turned on for starting and accessories. Both batteries are also in the boat's charging circuit. The LED lights up when the relay is engaged. 2. The 'On' switch condition is available to provide power from the 2nd battery continuously. The LED stays active. The 12V source for the Relay Solenoid is the 2nd battery. C. Application Notes: 1. The main advantages of using an isolator for the dual battery configuration are: a. A leaky, bad or discharged backup battery cannot drain the primary when the boat is idle. b. On my boat, most of the accessories will drain the battery if the dash switches are left on. If the primary battery is completely discharged, the engine won't start. Switching to the 'On' position will tie in the backup battery and should provide enough power for boat operation. 2. I used my older battery as the primary and a new one as the backup (secondary). This ensures that the healthier battery will be available when needed. 3. The benefits of this setup are: a. Provides extra starting current for my V8 Chevy Vortec. b. Doubles the number of AmpHours available to run accessories.

Great isolator for adding a second Yukon Battery
I have had continuous problems with my 2004 Yukon battery dying, as the vehicle sits more than it is used and seems to have a significant power draw from the electronics and aftermarket radio install. GMC and Chevrolet offered a second battery as an option, and the tray is available aftermarket online. I purchased the Stinger SGP32 200 AMP Battery Relay Isolator and Relay, and took it and my backup second battery to Broadway Auto Electric in Lemon Grove for professional installation. Now my Yukon starts very strongly every time, and I don't have to worry about getting stuck at the most inopportune times. The Stinger SGP32 200 AMP Battery Relay Isolator and Relay keeps the second battery out of the phantom draw when the car sits, and uses both batteries to start the car when the ignition switch is turned on. I could have wired it and installed it myself, and if you deal with auto electronics and are familiar with such things this would be a very easy install. I would recommend the Stinger SGP32 200 AMP Battery Relay Isolator and Relay for similar applications.

Must have for dual batteries
I installed two batteries in my truck and I needed this. It was very easy to set it up came with instructions so installing was not a problem it did extend the life of my batteries by keeping in separated. It wasn’t expensive and a voltage range always kept it around 14.1 V when the alternator was put out 14.3.

Works as expected
Everything works great, my initial installation purpose for this install was add a second battery while I fixed a parasitic draw having the second battery isolated from the system to back it up. It will not work that way wired per instructions, it needs too many volts from the ignition source to turn on, it wouldn’t turn on with 10v to allow the charged battery to enter the loop. To be fair this could be remedied with a toggle switch, but now that I’ve fixed the draw I’m changing the application for audio so this won’t be a problem anymore.

easy to install
the voltage range is what I look for, easy to install, it makes my batteries last longer, it doesn't affect the cooling of the batteries, the function and the thought of making this product is a smart person

Half the cost and worked like the origin
Replaced a 10 year old dirty parts solenoid (said wrangler products in the actual solenoid) as I had a voltage drop across the contacts of 0.6 vdc and the 2nd lithium battery wouldn’t fully charge. Just installed this and it was half the cost and was a direct replacement, if I ever have issues down the road I will post, but plugged it in and now and voltage drop is non existant
