For years I use stick on felt pads on my kitchen chairs to not scratch my oak floors. The collected lent and dog hair like crazy and often came off on their on. These were easy to install and will stay on the chair leg. They glide over my floor and do not scratch the finish on my floors.

I'm using these on carpet and they work great. Instead of the dining chairs "hopping" when being pulled out from the table, they slide nicely .... well, they *almost* slide nicely. I ordered the 3/4" and they are shy of 3/4" (which would be 6/8") they are 5/8" wide. Had I known, I would've ordered the next size up. My chair leg tips are larger on the front than the back and the front sliders need to be larger. I'm going to head to the store and pick up a few larger ones. I had 2 larger ones in my stash and hammered them in and that one chair slides perfectly.

Now these were real useful. extremely heavy wood work bench had to be moved for new floor installation. Inserting these into the Wood legs made sliding this 8 ft x 3ft work bench easy. Eliminated the resistance and avoiding scratching flooring. The size of the slider is about 1" and easy to install. the slider surface is rounded and of hard plastic.

Second time I’ve bought a pack of these. I’ve got a lot of tile and hardwoods, and these glide really well and protect my floors. The nail head is sturdy and sharp- very easy to tap these in with a a hammer. I’ve put them on all my dining chairs, barstools, recliners, couches etc. Must have product for furniture on hard wood floors and tile.

I wanted some sliders that helped to not only protect the floor but reduce the noise of the chair moving. I used some of the stick on kind and they were great...until they began to come off after a bit of use. I decided to graduate to the nail on kind and these work great. Easy to install and with the same advantages of the stick-on. The only issue is that my package was one short so I could not complete the job. One chair still has the stick-on ones. The note in the package states that should there be a problem to contact them through Amazon. I tried and there isn't any easy way to do that so I left a message in their vendor reviews. No reply. It's not the end of the world of course. But it would have been nice to have all of the chairs the same.
