Very happy!
I ordered the first time and sadly one died in transit but the other one was alive. I didn't want it to be alone, so bought another two, and the second time both were alive! I ordered in winter with bad weather, but they were packaged very well and I am very happy!

Cute and helpful
These guys were absolutely amazing in my tank however a month into owning them they died all of a sudden and for the price it’s kind of sad that they died so quickly. Luckily I found a place in town that sells them. However, I would not wish any ill Will on this company. I could’ve been my tank or it could’ve been the little crabby’s. They were absolutely tiny, but super super cute and they made a great addition to the tank.

THESE ARE NOT FRESHWATER CRABS.
I will say, the customer service was excellent. Two of my three crabs were DOA, and getting them replaced was easy. That said, these are not freshwater crabs. The one that arrived alive died a couple days later, and when I looked up if these things are just fragile... well, Ptychognathus barbatus require brackish water. These crabs will only live a maximum of five months in freshwater, if they arrive alive at all (one of the two replacement crabs was DOA as well, and now I wish I just accepted the refund). They are frequently mistaken for a different species that can live in freshwater. I can only hope this one replacement survivor can survive until the weekend, so I can surrender it to a pet store that can accommodate it.

So cuteeee
So far so good! Crab came alive, seems to be active, and out and about! He likes the under ground caves I have at my tank. He’s in and out of them every 5 minutes. I’ve heard they are avid climbers and escape artist so I was expecting to see an escape in the first 24 hours of having him but to my relief he was there when I woke up. I named him Leonardo Da Pinchy! Update: it’s been 4 days and he is living his best life. Still very active and curious.

Disappeared never to be seen again after placing in tank.
I am very disappointed with my purchase of my Pom Pom Crab. The crab arrived alive and well. I followed all the 9 acclimation steps exactly as written. When I removed the crab and placed him at the bottom of my 10-gallon tank, he quickly scampered off to the back of the tank where it has remained invisible, now for three full days, somewhere within the (only) 4 plants. I even left the tank light off all day and night and come morning; I began with the blue (moonlight) tank light before switching over to the bright (daylight) tank light. But three days later, I have never seen the crab again since I placed it in the tank. No sign of him whatsoever. Is it hiding? If so, where and for how long? I lifted and looked under the aqua rock – not there. I carefully moved the plants aside – no sign of it there. Where did my Pom Pom Crab go!? How and why did it disappear? Very disappointed! I even bought in advance Bloodworms and Hikari Crab Cuisine, both verifiable Amazon purchases, but I can’t find a crab to feed it to! What a wasted amount of money!
