Seem to do the job

I bought these and added a couple outlets around my boat, and replaced a few of the old ones that didn't work. My only suggestion is to maybe give a few options for mounting from the back? For 2 of them, I had no room to screw on the rings provided, so I had to get out a Dremel Tool and make room, and even then gaining the access to screw them down was tricky... I'm picturing a sleeve with barbs or something that you could push into a hole with some 4200 or something, and then snap the outlet in, or something like that...

I have unlit cigar lighter sockets at each bunk in our camper right now and it is difficult to find the "hole" so to speak.The 'night lighting' in our camper is the blue screen light from the built in radio at the dinette. So when I ran across these sockets that are lit internally when the waterproof cap is popped open it was a "No brainer". A rocker switch at each bunk turns the power on or off to a voltmeter, this socket and a dual-port USB-2 5V x 2.4A receptacle all of which are lit with blue LEDs. The blue light is very relaxing and doesn't interfere with sleeping. I finally got an "Atta Boy" from my wife.

This product was used on a custom console in a prerunner along with a usb charger to offer options for qnyone in it to charge their electronics etc. It seems to work well but the goofy lettering on the face will be sanded flat and painted over it serves no purpose. The illumination is bright to the point of being distracting when anything without enough size to block it while on gets annoying at night especially but it works just fine and powers everything we tried without issue and when not in use the cover blocks any light and seals out liquids.

Easy to wire and more than enough wire to use. replaced one in my car and one on my Street Glide. removed old one wired in new one. that easy

Great product, added top my trick so I won't be able to test the waterproof off it, I also do not smoke but I assume that a cigarette lighter would melt it if it could even work. The one complaint for my application is that the light is always on when the plug has power. Would have liked to have it turn on when I turn the dash lights but it's okay the plug is great quality

Seem like solid units. connection seems quite secure. did not rate the waterproof feature as mine are installed in a van and supposed to stay dry. only drawback INMOP is the pretty light inside the unit. looks cool as heck but an unnessicary draw when living off grid. it does look super cool though lit up in my hand made cherry outlets and I seem to have plenty of power so far.
