Others have complained that these break but that has not been my experience. I imagine they probably need a bigger belt because the buckle shouldn’t be under so much strain that it would break to begin with. I’m not slim either, I’m 6’5 260 lbs and the buckle makes me look slimmer because of the size which is perfect! It’s way nicer than the price I paid in my opinion. I wore it into work and got tons of compliments from both men and woman asking where they could get one like it and saying how awesome it was! I got the belt part from Amazon too and paid a little extra to get a real sturdy leather belt. So over all for the belt and buckle to still be under $50 was WELL worth it! Nothing about it looks cheap. If you are on the fence I would recommend buying it.

My son had to have a belt buckle for homecoming. This was perfect since he wanted our last initial. Good quality and weight, held up to a kid that is constantly working on the farm and playing hard. Nice shining gold and is not wearing off yet.

I own a couple of dozen buckles, this is my least expensive one. That stated I must say, the quality is a lot better than I had imagined. As far as how it looks, comes exactly as the picture shows. I like it. All in all I must give it a perfect score because as the headline indicates, the quality mixed with affordability are second to none.
