Spiegelau Salute 7.4 oz Champagne flute (set of 4)

If you're trying to strike a balance price and an elegant high-quality wine glass, these are a good choice. They look and feel like quality crystal and have held up to hand washing (which I choose to do, but which may not be necessary). I bought sets of these for both red and white wine a couple of months ago. Only one glass has broken so far, but only because it got knocked off the counter and fell all the way to the floor. I just ordered another set of these.

We use these glasses for many years and wanted to get a few more. They are great quality and very elegant design, too! I’m getting the Champagne and white wine glasses as well. They are great!

These 19 ounce glasses are a perfect size for red wine, for any wine. The quality of the crystal exceeded my expectations. The rim is thin but not fragile. The long stems are elegant. The shape is perfect. It is relatively sturdy as well. I've been drinking from and washing these glasses on a daily basis for about two months now and none have broken in my hand or in the dishwasher. Any fine crystal wine glass will break if too much pressure is applied when washing the inside. I recommended not letting a glass sit for an extended length of time with any red wine left in it. (Rinse it out before going to bed) If it sits too long a residue red ring may form at the bottom which takes pressure to rub out and increases the risk of breakage. Cupping the top and shaking the glass with warm soapy water usually solves the problem. I can't recommend these wine glasses highly enough. They're the right size and shape and the quality is unbeatable for the price (I paid less than $30.00 for four but they're worth more). I've been drinking wine out of a variety of different size, shape and quality glasses for over fifty years, and in my opinion it's impossible to not be delighted with these.

I love the thin lip on this glass. It is delicate, so handle with care.

Pricing was great. Quality was ok (compared to Ridel or Krosno which were better). But would have been ok for every day use but the glass shape and size looked more like white wine glasses. Thus elected to return them.

I have no major complaints here. They feel very nice to hold. We've broken two of the original four glasses we bought, but that was our fault. I'm impressed how well they've survived. At about $10/glass I got them to break and not feel bad, but they've held up really well. We've put them in the dishwasher many times and they've survived that too. As we and our guests continue to break them we will continue to buy replacements.
