I always come back to this shampoo. I’m always tempted to try the next new thing to come along, but end up giving it to a family member to go back to this. I’m late 40’s (so lots of hormonal issues affecting my hair 😩),,, colored hair, almost shoulder length with tons of layers.. it’s a little on the dry side and thinning thanks to genetics and Mother Nature 🥴.I like the smell, and I’m someone who prefers no scent at all... I’m not a fan of the over-powering/sickening sweet fragrance that so many have nowadays. It just smells light and clean. I also love the fact that despite being sulfate free it lathers up... maybe I’m old school but I just like the feel of suds when washing my hair and most sulfatefree shampoos do not lather. It’s gentle on colored hair, and doesn’t strip color or make it fade faster than it should. Also, this is an almost 18oz bottle, so it lasts a good while. Hair feels soft but not heavy or weighed down. *The matching condirioner is great as well. And seeing some reviews of build-up - get the Neutrogena build up remover shampoo (also available here on Amazon and pretty much every store, drug store and grocery store). Use it once a week (depending on how often you wash your hair) -It’s gentle enough for even permed or color treated hair. I use it it every 4 or 5 times I wash my hair and have never had any issues with build up. *I actually found this shampoo by researching top shampoos for dry/thinning hair, and this was a top pick from Good Housekeeping.

This is my 3rd time buying this Hair food shampoo , and it is My Favorite.Received my first bottle from Amazon VineDon’t be fooled by the low price! I have bought more expensive shampoos for more then double this price.Most other shampoos leave me with a Itchy scalp, dull hair, and I wash my hair almost everyday.I have had my hair colored and a blonde weave for too many years, and I'm now letting my hairGrow out to it’s natural color, silver , I'm happy.This does Not make my hair yellow.Just mentioned that , as I have used this shampoo on dyed hair and now almost grown out natural color hair.My hair is simi thick almost to my shoulders.The Hair Food shampoo is,Sulfate free.Paraben Free.Silicone Free.Cruelty Free, by PETA .Bottle is 100% recycled plastic.Love the scent.5 stars

I love this rinse, my hair not only feels clean but is very soft, no conditioner needed and no tangles! It smells great and my hair is very healthy and shiny. I use this between shampoo washes and it is very effective.

My hair was was full of products and it would not hold a curl, which i have had never had a problem with before. I dont know what had happened, but I was so frustrated and confused. The texture of my hair was so off, like tons of products where just layering on hair and would not come off no matter what I did to try to make it better. I did some research and decided to give this a try due to being free of all the damaging products I was using and had been using for yrs that suddenly became a problem. Maybe its due my age and hormones. Either way my hair was not having anymore. So again, I bought this and literally a miracle happened. Let me say, I first used dawn dish soap to strip all the crap that was just sitting in my hair which worked amazing. I then waited 2 days before shampooing again. When I did, I used this! I have medium length hair and trust me when I say, you do not need more than 2 pumps to wash entire head. My hair is now feeling amazing. Shine is back and curls are now holding. I am so grateful I found this product. Fabulous!!

I really never found a shampoo and conditioner that really truly made me happy for one reason or another but this particular shampoo did not dry my hair I have wavy curly hair so it does tend to dry easily and it's also coarse so when it's dry it's frizzy. I also use the conditioner with the shampoo it is also awesome. I washed my hair with the shampoo and the conditioner on Wednesday it's Friday and I got up and I just simply rinsed my hair not shampooing cuz I didn't have the time to mess with my hair and when it dried it was still soft shiny and not frizzy at all. I definitely recommend this shampoo and conditioner. I'm planning on looking to see what other products they have in their line and I will also give them a try and I hope there is great this dual turned out to be.

I felt like I needed to write a review just so others don't make the same mistake as me. This is definitely a good/high quality shampoo/ conditioner set, but it didn't do anything for me. It does make your hair softer to the touch as other reviewers mention. I have a ton of hair, but the actual strands are very fine and when I do my normal wash & air dry routine with this product it just leaves my hair limp & unable to style, it basically makes any natural texture/waves I have dissapear. If I was going to blow dry my hair & wear it down straight it would probably be fine. But that's not how I roll on a daily basis as a SAHM. I will continue to use product because I just don't have extra money to throw it out & start over, but I would never order again. I guess it was my mistake for not considering my hair type better when ordering.

I've been purchasing this product for quite a while and loved it. It was then at a reasonable price......what on earth happened?!? It now has a price hike of about three times as much for a little more then half the amount??? Certainly won't purchase now..
