The top shelf is at 56", middle shelf is 45", 3rd shelf is 34". The very top bar is at 66" and the bottom bar is 14 1/2" with the bottom cross bar at 19". Hope that helps!

What is the width of the shelf?

The product info says it's 14.6 by 14.6 by 30 inches tall.

Does the bar, going across, on the bottom with the legs come off? ...so i can put behind the toilet.

I have had this unit for almost 10 years. I think it's great. I have found it to be sturdy without the bar. I don't want the bar there bc I want to move it to clean without taking it apart. I just left the bar off. This thing has gone through three moves two of which it had to be taken apart for. I'm finally buying another one bc ours is outside being used for spa supplies. That was supposed to be temporary while we had work done to the house but I'm too lazy to clean it and it's not worth $20 to me to clean it instead of just buying another one.

How far off the floor is the lowest support bar (the one between the toilet bowl and the wall)?

Great question your probably wondering how that is going to work behind your tank and plumbing. I was worried about the same thing.. You attach that last, after its actually in place and set. It's about 12-14 inches from the floor but again, its put on after the unit is in place. The lowest shelf is 34 inches from the floor and sits about 2 inches above the top of my tank. This unit is very thin and very delicate material is hoped it would be more sturdy. I wouldn't purchase again
