I am so impressed with this book. It was written in a smart clear and enjoyable way. Packed with great information on just about all aspects of online dating. I will keep this book to refer to now and then as there are also examples of e-mails to send in different circumstances. I no longer feel like a babe in the woods when it comes to this topic. I feel like I have a comprehensive idea of how to go about it now. I am so grateful. It's nice not to have to learn everything the hard way and stress out about the whole process unnecessarily!

How I wish I'd had this book years ago when I was trying online sites. Christie's advice on choosing activities the woman likes is empowering. And she brings up so many potential pitfalls -- with ways to work around them. The "hopeful woman" can be in charge and can enjoy the experience, and zero in on the kind of person she'd most like to meet. I'm recommending it for my single friends who want to try online dating.

A really well organized book about the do's and don'ts of online dating. Looks at many unexpected aspects. Lot's of insights from someone with lots of experience. I confess I haven't yet taken the plunge, but I will definitely read it again thoroughly before I do!

This was a quick read. I finished it in one day. I thought it had some great information, such as how to evaluate prospects to ensure you're not wasting your time, who pays for first dates, and good suggestions for activities that are more interesting and fun than meeting for coffee (i.e. why meeting for coffee is LAME lol). It also talked about protecting your identity online and safety when meeting men in person. Good info there. Downsides: The book could have used a better editor. There were many spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as passages that repeated for no apparent reason. Some of the sample emails provided were cringe-worthy in how cheesy they were! The book only covers through first dates. Finally, I think my biggest issue with the book is that it insists your profile come off as supremely confident and relentlessly cheerful in tone, and that you should immediately discard any men's profiles who don't sound that way. I'm not that way myself! I can probably write a profile that makes it look like I am, but it wouldn't be authentically me. I'm shy and kind of nerdy. I wouldn't want to be dismissed out of hand for that, so why wouldn't I want to give a chance to a guy who might be the same?

I very much enjoyed reading this book. There were numerous steps and examples that were easy to understand and very practical. What I liked most is that the author made the information relevant for women over 40 and took our significant life experiences into account.
