Does its job
Stable, durable - does its job. I use it near the sea and no rust on the shackle yet. The pin might need some repaint after time. After all, it's a shackle.

Very good shackle for the price
If you look around online, you'll find an exhaustive empirical review which tested many brands of shackle both fancy and cheap against one another in the real world. According to that review, the "standard" (yellow) Titan shackle far exceeds its claimed working and breaking strength. For the price they ask, there is no better shackle on the market period, not even close. The same review found that the Titan "High Strength" (non yellow) shackle breaks below its claimed specifications, and is in fact absolutely identical to its cheaper yellow edition just with much higher claimed specifications. So, obviously buy the cheapest possible edition of the Titan shackle, they're all the same anyway for the Titan brand.Don't get me wrong, there are true high strength shackles out there which can take an amazing load far above these, but they cost ten times the Titan shackle or more. If you need one of those, buy one of those. If you need a shackle for under £5 which far exceeds the specs for the standard shackle, there is no equal on the market today. They're just phenomenal for the money.I spent the last few months abusing horribly the the 1/2 inch shackle lifting 1.4 tonne 'lego' concrete blocks and wrenching them around. I have been very mean to that shackle, often causing it to seize through applying shear stresses in all directions. I've produced so many metal splinters from grinding that shackle I dare not touch it without gloves. Yet:1. Not once has that shackle failed to unwind out (albeit I needed some leverage sometimes to get the pin to shift).2. Not once has that shackle failed to wind in.3. The shackle has never distorted sufficiently so prevent pin wind in.4. I have, in fairness, wrecked the threading of the shackle due to too many sideways shears. Yet, despite that the threading is wrecked, not yet has the threading given out. Yes this shackle is on its last legs from all the sideways wrenching abuse, but no not once has it failed.5. Almost all shackles fail due to shear of the pin i.e. basically the pin snaps. My current 1/2 inch shackle can no longer lock its pin, it's too damaged. Has its pin sheared? Nope. That amazing given that the pin isn't getting full support from both sides, yet it keeps on going.Equally all that said absolutely am I buying a replacement before it does fail, same brand, same make. For under £5 it's one hell of a shackle. It fails from wear and tear *very slowly* after months of abuse. What more does one want from a shackle? The only reason I give this four not five stars is they've removed the 1/2 inch shackle from Amazon. This is exactly what my concrete 'lego' blocks use, so I can't get a replacement for the 1/2 inch shackle. I can get any other size, but not the half inch. Please fix this Amazon, as soon as I you do I'll change this review to a five star and buy another 1/2 inch shackle.

Good product but image doesn't show correct size
The product is good value and high quality. However, beware that the image shown in the app is not what you are buying. The image shown on Amazon is for the shackle on the left, which is what I was looking for. The actual item I accidentally bought is for the item on the right, which was correctly described in the description but is a completely different size to the image. It is way bigger than I need. It'll be too expensive to return it so I'll find another use for it or resell it.
