Great battery
I loved the appearance of this battery and it's case construction. I liked the way the terminals were engineered and appear to be very robust . Being a group 34 battery it fit in the engine compartment of my 1995 Chev C-3500 truck. It's nice to have handle that swings up out of the top of the battery to make handling heavy objects like this easier. It is heavy too at 52 lbs makes it a bit cumbersome to move around. It is an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) which gives it some advantages over a standard lead acid battery. I don't they they outgass nearly as much if at all, and they produce a strong starting surge of cranking current. It turned the 454 over in my dually like the engine was devoid of it's spark plugs, and it did this right out of the box with zero time on the charger. In fact I haven't put it on the charger I didn't feel it needed to be, I just hooked it up to a Battery Tender. The only thing I was hoping for was a little more cold cranking amps, This one is rated at 850. But the way it started my truck makes me wonder if I need more reserve from it? I would definitely recommend this battery to anyone so far. It's still new and I have no idea of it's longevity. Odyessy batteries have a good reputation. I have read some bad reviews on Optima batteries which is too bad because they used to be a good battery as well. More Chinese crap I would imagine? I've noticed different levels of quality out of China in the past couple of years. Maybe the Odyessy batteries are made in China too? I don't know, however these batteries must be made in one of the factories that gives a hoot about their quality.

Short lasting battery
Battery’s seem good when new but only lasted 2 years and 8 months . Slowly they have been getting weaker and truck has been slow starting for the past 6 months. My last red top battery lasted 11 years and still worked when I replaced them with these. Company won’t warranty them. Dodge ram 2500

Great battery but purchase it SOMEWHERE ELSE!
The Odyssey Batteries are the best, Longest lasting batteries you can find! But I will NEVER pruchase them from this company again. First they sent me a different battery than the one I ordered. In my Chevy, Silverado I have an Odyssey 34/78-PC1500DT Battery in my truck. This battery has side AND top terminals. (I originally purchased it in February 2015). I purchased the battery with the Dual Terminals (both top and side. this allows the side terminals to power my truck like normal and the top terminals for my truck camper and my smowplow. So to replace it, I ordered an Odyssey 34/78-PC1500DT AGM Battery, But I RECEIVED an Odyssey ODX-AGM 34/78. I did not want to install the battery in my truck until I can find out the difference between the two. On 1-4-2021 at 3:14pm I wrote this.... 'I see that the wrong battery that you sent me was picked up today. I did not receive any notification that it was going to be picked up. I'm glad I was home so I could give it to the UPS folks!!! Then, this Company never contacted me to let me know IF I was still going to get the battery I ordered AND if so WHEN! On 1-5-2021 I still had not heard from the company as to whether they were sending me the battery that I have ALREADY PAID FOR. Later on the same day I received the same type of battery that I had sent back earlier. UGH!!! The box looked like it had been kicked all the way from California and the battery wasn't much better! So to recap. These batteries are great. but purchase it some place else because if there are issues - they will not communicate with you!!! .....CNM

You Get Your $$ Worth: Odyssey 34/78-PC1500DT is THE Best Battery!
This is the 2nd time I've had to buy a battery like this one (in 2010) as the 1st one went out earlier this year due to my ignorance. The battery would have lasted longer ~ IF I did *not* put it one a "conventional battery trickle charger" as that destroyed the internals of the Odyssey 34/78-PC1500DT battery...these batteries can be stored in a reasonable place for over a year w/o needing a charge. <-- I wish I would have known that late last year. Odyssey even makes their own charger just for these AGM batteries: Odyssey OBC-6A Portable Charger Even in 2017, the price was worth getting this needed battery into the '98 Dodge RAM 1500 quad cab 5.9L 4x4 truck here, as I hope to have a long service life with this military grade battery in south central Alaska. This battery ought to last for at least 10 years or more with a good charging system in a vehicle. Spendy, but worth it.

Great Support
The battery had a failure right at 2 years. It was in a Jeep and parked in a cargo container during the summer. I imagine the high heat was an issue. The battery discharged to 5 volts and would not recharge unfortunately. However, the seller, Batterysharks, was contacted on a Sunday and after a photo of the voltage, immediately warrantied the battery. Couldn’t ask for better customer service. I don’t know what ultimately happened to the battery, but sometimes things go wrong…The reason I gave 5 stars is because the seller stood behind the battery and the warranty.

Don't buy an Odyssey Battery. Neither Odyssey or Amazon Will Cover the 4Yr Warranty,
Just got off the phone with Odyssey Battery Enersys. They won't and are not going to honor the 4 year warranty, if you buy it off Amazon. $407.00 down the drain after just 13 months. The battery is so dead, the LED lights in my Tahoe won't come on. The alternator is fine, the battery won't take or hold a charge. My advice to anyone thinking about buying this battery. DON'T Neither Odyssey or Amazon will cover the warranty I was told by Odyssey to email, not call, csi-connect.com I guess we'll see what happens. I'm going to tell everyone right now that if you buy this battery off Amazon, Odyssey WILL NOT cover the Battery 4 year warranty. I just got off the phone with Amazon Support. Amazon is working with me on the battery and even called Odyssey. The Amazon Tech Supervisor was told the same as me, contact csi-connect.com. You can't call them only email. That seems like a waste off the jump. Why Amazon sells products from Manufacturers that won't honor their warranties, if bought off Amazon, the biggest online retailor in the world, is beyond me. Amazon should force any company, 3rd party or not, to honor their warranties or don't let them sell on Amazon. Needless to say, I'm totally Pi$$ed. I'll follow up on this review, after I find out if Amazon, Odyssey or CSI-Connect.com is going to replace this battery. Which is all I'm asking for. A replacement.

NOW THIS IS A BATTERY
Needed a battery that would allow me to run the LED lights in my work van. (14' box truck, 4ea, 48" LED lights) Need the lights on for hours at a time when working a job at night. Sometimes all night. Tried them all. Big box batteries, Auto parts stores batteries, all the gold, silver, platinum rated batteries failed to hold up. Then I finally spent the extra money for an Odyssey. WOW !! what a difference money makes. I honestly believe I could leave the lights on 24hrs a day. Never have to worry about a weak battery again. First time using the lights for an extended period. Had some questions as to how the "overpriced" battery would hold up. Never flinched. Starts every time instantly. This battery is powerful and dependable. I have forgotten to turn the lights out more than once. Did not matter. Van starts immediately. Never hesitation or slow cranking. Turns over and runs in 1-2 seconds. If your having issues finding a good battery to power all the gadgets in your vehicle. Do yourself a favor. Get an Odyssey battery. Never worry again.

A GREAT BATTERY!!! THIS IS MY 2ND ONE. FIRST ON LASTED 11.5 YEARS SOLID W/NO ISSUES!!! :)
I am sure most of you hate to change batteries every 2 years or so. I decided almost 12 years ago to pay a bit more for a really good battery. It lasted 11.5 years! I had no issues and it always started in cold -10F and hot weather 105F. This is the range of temperature where I live. So, it is a pretty fair range of temperature to go on. I had this battery on my Chevy 4x4 C2500 Truck. This battery also is made from quality pure lead plates and has a better CCA rating than others of comparable size. So, if you are like me about not having to hassle with the battery, I would recommend this one and also the Optima Red Top Type/Brand. I had one of those too for my Lincoln Towncar and it lasted 10+ years.
