Learn Sign Language in a Hurry: Grasp the Basics of American Sign Language Quickly and Easily Paperback – August 18, 2009

I got this book for myself and a friend who has suffered from a condition affecting his motor skills. He can not speak. I suggested we learn sign language because he can not write clearly or hit the correct letters on his type to speech device. We have only learned A to E. We both learned the letters fairly easily because of the book’s pictures. He sometimes needs one hand to help place his fingers or one hand may be able to form the letters better than the other. We haven’t been able to further our education in ASL yet, but this book sure made the first five letters fairly easy to learn, so I assume the rest of the alphabet and phrases will be taught as clearly.

Excellent if you’re just learning and so easy to follow.

I love the book. It did arrive on time, and it serves it's purpose. I will be ordering more. Great product for the price. It really does teach you sign depending on how devoted you are to learning.

Very good beginner resource. Easy to pick up words and phrases. Signing in minutes! Probably won't prepare you to be an interpreter on its own, but a good way for kids and adults to learn together.

This book is easy to follow. I have been interested in learning sigh language since I work with a deaf woman and really think this book helps me comunicate with her

This book did not work for me. I needed a little bit more. Maybe once I have more of the basics down it will be a good guide.
