Learning Resources Two-Color Counters Smart Pack

I bought these for use in DND. The size fits a 1in grid perfectly, the two colors are a great way to indicate current health/status of the creature or object, and the surface material works well with wet erase markers for labeling.

Just what I needed for my math lessons!

They work well for what we need them for. I like the dual colors, I would purchase again. However, I noticed the counters do chip, but are relatively inexpensive so it’s okay.

I got these for my kid because they look just like the ones that were used in my school when I was a child. These are a way cheaper feeling version, though. All my classmates loved the counters when were little because they were smooth, weighty, really satisfying to hold and slide around and clack together in your hand. I was hoping these were the same because the sensory experience of them was enough to get us excited to use them even if we might not otherwise have been excited about math. These are rough and very thin and lightweight, and the red and yellow halves aren’t all precisely aligned. They will still function the same way, obviously, but they don’t have that “Oo, let me play with those!” factor of the ones I remember from decades past. Oh well. They are very affordable, so that’s nice.

Some of the pieces didn’t have both the yellow and red sides. I bought enough for a classroom set and only like 3 of them were missing their red side. So overall, great product!

I was looking for something to use to teach my 5yo addition, subtraction, and groups (which will lead into multiplication). Also what it means physically and translating it on paper. The 2 colours has made it easy to explain. I also used the yellow side and wrote a +, -, =, x, and division sign on the yellow side to use those as well (actually was my 5 year old's idea!). Fantastic teaching resource.
