My nut on my aga needs to be done up very tight. Is heldite suitable to use on that joint noting that I need to undo it every 6 months to service

You would need to clean and reapply everytime. Its quite strong.

Does it allow easy demounting?

Not easily. To be honest I'm not overly impressed, wouldn't seal a fitting on my diesel tank.

Would this be suitable for an outside drain pipe?

This is really for oil lines. Plastic drain pipes would need solvent weld
