I wanted to buy a tower lamp for my room, but didn't want to spend huge amounts of money for a decorative model. I just needed something that worked and did the job, and that is what this lamp does. Assembly is super simple, you don't really even need the manual that comes with it. Place the bottom base on the floor, then screw on all the pipes. Then attach the bulb socket, then unscrew the threaded ring, place the shade on top, then screw the threaded ring back on. Place your bulb of choice into the socket, plug the cord in, and flip the switch on, simple. The quality of the lamp is actually pretty good. It has a solid weight in the bottom base, aluminum pipes, and a good switch on the cord. The top shade is made of plastic however and is a bit flimsy. It works just fine, but just know that if somebody were running in the house and knocked this lamp over, more then likely the shade is going to break on it. I bought one of those remote controlled RGB multi-colored bulbs to run in this lamp. The bulbs can be remotely turned on/off, change brightness, color, they are really nice. I highly recommend them. For the cheap cost of this lamp, and how well that it works, I do recommend it, 5 out of 5 stars.

I bought this when my other cheap floor lamp starting going out. I didn't want anything expensive and this fit the bill. Pros 1. Easy to put together. Four rods + the top + the base. Took literally a minute once everything was unpacked. 2. It's tall enough. It's shorter than the one it replaced but it's still tall enough to be a floor lamp. 3. It turns on and off, like a good lamp should. 4. The base is nice and heavy, the thing doesn't wobble much. 5. I like that the switch is on the cable about halfway down. It makes it easier to reach from the couch and it's a good, solid on-off switch. I never really liked the turn-switches like most of these lamps have. Cons 1. None really. I knew the cable would be unsightly when I bought it so it seems unfair to tack a star for something I knew when I bought it. I actually don't mind it so much. It comes with two clips to clip the cord to the stem to keep it from just hanging around all willy nilly. Overall, I'm pleased with it. This was the cheapest floor lamp available on Amazon and I wasn't really looking at home decoration. Just wanted something to replace the one that broke for right now and this worked perfectly. I would recommend this to people who need a lamp and don't have a lot of money to spend on it. Obviously you can get nicer stuff if you spend extra money but for the cost, this is great. Update March 2016 The one I bought still works. Bought a second one. That one works too. Best cheap floor lamp ever.

So, recently I decided that I needed a lamp for my office. I was tired of it being too bright in the room with the overhead lighting, so decided a nice floor lamp will provide enough light for the room without it being too bright. That is when I went to Amazon and searched "floor lamps". There were many lamps to choose from, how would I know which one is the best? I started reading the reviews of these lamps. I found one lamp that was being sold for just under $18 dollars! Thats right, $18 dollars! I thought to myself, there has to be something wrong with this. I read through the reviews, and man, some people were really upset with this lamp! Apparently there is an issue with the power cord not running up the center of the lamp. I thought to myself, does the cord hanging off to the side cause the lamp not to function as intended? I decided to buy one for myself to test this hypothesis. I received the lamp in excellent condition, and with a little help with in the instructions, i was able to assemble the product in just under 2 hours. It is an ikea product after all. I even had a few extra screws that I just tossed away. Right away I noticed that infamous cord hanging from the lamp. I thought to myself, "How will this cause the lamp to not work?" I connected the cord to an electrical outlet, and flipped the switch. "Blasted!", I said to myself. "It really does effect the lamp! It wont turn on!" It was then I realized I forgot the light bulb. After several more minutes of trying locate a light bulb, I began to screw it into the socket for the lamp. I should deduct one star because the lamp almost blinded me when i screwed in the bulb. The lamps should come with the power switch off! After I regained my sight, I could still see that dastardly cable running from the lamp. I started thinking, "Maybe these people are wrong. That cord does not affect the operation of the lamp." It was then I noticed these little clips on the lamp. They were there to hold the cable! "Did these previous reviewers not see them" I started asking myself. "Why? Why would they have such an issue with this cord?" I sat and pondered this thought for a moment. Then I said to myself "Maybe they should have bought a different lamp." Dont Want to read the whole thing: Its a great lamp, lights up the room. For those that complain about the cable. Spent more than $18 on a lamp that has the cable built in.

Even from the beginning I was impressed with this, just for it's ease of assembly. When put together after very few minutes, I liked its appearance and especially the quality of the light produced by the recommended (but not included) soft, warm, LED light. It is a very simple and unsophisticated product, but with a sleek modern appearance which would blend in with almost any room. It has just one on/off control, which I like because almost nothing can go wrong. After purchasing one to replace a lamp which had failed, I was so impressed that I immediately purchased another for a neglected location. More than worth the low price.

Its super sturdy and very easy to install lamp, While assembling you need to attach one rod with the other one, likewise it comes with 5 set of rods but i remove one rod to reduce the height of the lamp. It was a Super fast delivery. A must buy however price wise its on the higher side in compare to Ikea website. Note: It doesn’t come with a bulb Thank you seller for shipping ikea products which is not possible to get it in Bangalore.
