New Orleans style coffee is the best!
Best bang for the buck for a full bodied, dark and delicious coffee with chicory. The chicory tames bitterness. This is my favorite coffee, and I can’t believe how well priced this seller was.

Probably the best example of New Orleans Chicory coffee... better than the 'cafe' branded one.
Not sure I could find a better Chicory coffee. I'd even recommend this for someone who wants to know what Chicory coffee is about. Look up the history on using chicory, you might find it interesting. It is a unique taste, and some would say an... acquired one. You'll know this isn't regular coffee right away. There is another popular brand based on an extremely popular cafe in New Orleans. I tried them both and much preferred the coffee to chicory blend in this one. It still gives it that unique "New Orleans coffee" flavor while also capturing a taste I can only describe as "farmer rugged." The kind of taste you'd expect from a pot of coffee made by an old farmer who's been waking up at 4am for the last 30 years and always starts with a solid cup of coffee. Not too bitter. Not to acidic. Hits just right, but with that extra flavor of chicory bracing it. If you ever took a vacation to the French Quarter to experience that "New Orleans" charm and feel, this will bring it back and make you long to have some hot fresh beignets at hand.

Good coffee, rich New Orleans taste and aroma
MEA CULPA - THIS IS - NOT - DECAF Good aroma and flavor, as expected, strong and dark, with the sharp taste of the chicory.

dark roast= strong bold cup with hint to chicory; lends body w/o bitterness
Good flavor and strength. I have the "Dark roast" option. I like my coffee dark, black, unsweetened. This has a well established undertone of chicory. Not strong, but it is there in the background. Probably best for those not looking for strong chicory yet want a bold cup of coffee with added baody (sans bitterness). I make this in a French press, and I need to use less that what I normally do with my coffee. Even then it is sometimes too strong. I dont often do creamer, but there are times that I use it to make this taste smoother--usually because I still made it too strong. I mean, I love my coffee ultra bold and strong, but sometimes too much coffee grounds to water ratio just makes it taste harsh. Need a balance. So overall I like it. Just a little tricky for me to get right. When I do, it makes a strong cup of dark coffee, with hint of nutty chicory. I like that the chicory gives the coffee body yet doesnt impart an tang or bitterness. For the price it is worth the try.

Great flavor and boldness. I’m kind of picky about my coffee but this one is right on and a great price!

Love love love this coffee.
I love this coffee. I get it on auto delivery two cans every 4 weeks. It is great to use. I use it in my single serve ground coffee maker. Two teaspoons and or 1 tbsp for 12 oz of water and it makes a perfect coffee. I prefer drip coffee versus a K-Cup so it's awesome. Using the single serve drip coffee is great. If you are using a Keurig with a reusable grounds again, two teaspoons and or 1 tbsp per 12 oz of coffee. Turns out perfect. The flavor is great. Black and or with your favorite coffee syrups and or sugar and cream. This is my go-to always buy coffee now.

Good not great
Very dark and slightly perfumy taste. While it is quite good, it may take a bit to get used to the taste. I am glad I tried it, but it is not re the taste I prefer. It is quite a good brew and worth a try.

Excellent blend
This is a more bitter coffee and is meant to be served with milk and sugar. I acquired a taste for it living in Louisiana. It's nothing like a straight espresso. It doesn't have the same full-bodied flavor.
