Only Contains Chinese Characters, No English Markings
These Mahjong cards are great. They are a good size and are a decent size and quality for playing cards. If you are used to playing with Mahjong tiles that have English markings for the Winds and Characters, they do not. You will either need to learn the symbols for these cards, or find a cheat-sheet online that you can print out.Overall, they were worth the purchase for me.

I like 'em enough to recommend you consider buying 'em.
I bought my pack of chinese traditional mahjong playing cards from Yellow Mountain Imports. Shipping took 5 days, not counting Sunday and the Saturday I ordered it on.Cards are in perfect shape, brand new, all 144 are there, plus two blank cards which I made into handy cheat sheets for the character cards and winds. The only cards in English are the season and flower cards; all of the other cards are without western letters or numbers. If you are looking for an affordable, high quality alternative to traditional mahjong tiles, I recommend you buy this set. I also recommend you buy a large deck box and simple card sleeves ("cheap sleeves," or "penny sleeves,") to extend the life of the cards. The box they come in is nice, but the box isn't going to last long.

Simple and Easy
If you're looking for very portable traveling mahjong fun without the trouble of the tiles, this is perfect. It almost becomes a card game that can be played almost anywhere. The cards are slightly smaller than an average poker card, but the box can hold them all perfectly without much wear and tear.I got this for just $2, so it's completely worth it. Cheaper than a set of poker cards I would say.It would be a plus to learn mahjong before getting these cards though, otherwise you'll have to find someone to teach you.

Dirty smeared cards
The package of cards came sealed in plastic but many of the cards inside were dirty with black and red marks smeared on them. I tried wiping them with a damp towel, but the dirt stayed. Very disappointed. Graphics on the cards were very simplified/primative in dull color (especially the green) - not vibrant or impressive. Would be embarrassed using the cards with friends.

I love these cards
I love these cards. Of course nothing compares to the actual tiles but I bought this for our mini road trip and it was a fun and different experience. The cards are good quality for playing cards and I love that it comes in a thicker, sturdier box so I can just throw it in my backpack for a little fun while on the go.

Acceptable for the price
I just received this product and had some thoughts.First, the box; the one I received had evidence of a previous label being removed. It was also extremely difficult to open, as it was too tight; I had to tear one of the corners of the top flap for it to open. This may partly be because the interior box flaps are overlapping, which takes extra spaceThe deck comes with two blank cards, which are nice to have. The whole deck is a pain to shuffle, but that isn't the maker's fault. It's just a function of the height of the deck. The six and eight myriad cards are a bit too stylized for my tastes; there's a loss of readability there. The card quality involves an acceptable tradeoff (not as sturdy as they could be, but they're thin so that reduces the size), but quality is overall a little low (e.g. there's some red color that wasn't bleached out on white parts of the cards).Ultimately, if you're looking for a travel or small set to play with, it should do the trick.
