Game change for cyctic acne.
I'm writing this review after using this product for over a month. I came across this while looking for some cure for cyctic acne on amazon. I've tried everything from acne patches, serums, masks but nothing has helped in healing hormonal cystic acne. I use a bit of this cream overnight on the hard bumps which are severely immflamed. And within a day or two the size reduces and even forms a head. Initially the sulphurous smell bothered me but it worth every penny. It's non comodegenic and doesn't dry out the skin. Amazon's delivery was on time and I recommend this to anyone struggling with adult cystic acne.

I swear by this one. Just single application will diminish the most rigid acne bumps overnight. Beware of the smell which is awful and male skin greasy hence use only on affected area. Brilliant results and easy to park in shelf or travel bag. Leaves no scar.

De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment deserves all the praise—it has changed my skin and my confidence. If you suffer from cystic acne, stubborn breakouts, or oily, congested skin, this little jar might be the miracle product you’ve been looking for. I also use it for random folliculitis that flares up from time to time on my neck and scalp. I’ve struggled with painful, under-the-skin cystic acne for years, especially around my jawline and chin. I’ve tried everything—benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, prescription retinoids, and even oral antibiotics. Some helped, but nothing worked as quickly or reliably as this sulfur ointment. The 10% sulfur dries out active pimples and cysts overnight, sometimes flattening them completely by morning. For deep, forming bumps, applying this at the first sign of swelling helps stop them from becoming full-blown cysts. It also keeps smaller breakouts in check and prevents new ones from forming. My skin hasn’t looked this clear in years. The texture is thick and a bit pasty—it’s not a leave-it-on-and-run-errands type of product. It’s best used as a spot treatment or overnight mask. I apply a thin layer on problem areas after cleansing and let it sit for 10–30 minutes, or sometimes all night if needed. It can be drying if overused, so I follow up with a gentle moisturizer. One small note: it smells like sulfur—not overwhelmingly bad, but definitely noticeable. I honestly don’t mind it anymore, and the results are well worth it. What I love is that it’s effective without irritating my skin. I have sensitive skin that reacts to a lot of harsh acne treatments, but this doesn’t cause redness, burning, or flaking (as long as I don’t overdo it). It also doesn’t bleach towels or pillowcases, unlike benzoyl peroxide. You get a generous amount in a small jar that lasts forever because you only need a little at a time. For under $10, it’s one of the best skincare investments I’ve ever made. The packaging is simple and no-frills, but honestly, I’d still use this if it came in a cardboard box—it’s that good. After 2–3 weeks of consistent use, my breakouts were fewer, less intense, and healed faster. Now that I’m using it preventatively a few times a week, I’ve gone from daily breakouts to maybe one minor blemish a month, if that. It has truly transformed my skin routine and my self-esteem. Pros: Shrinks and dries cystic acne overnight Prevents new breakouts Doesn’t irritate sensitive skin Extremely affordable and long-lasting Great for oily or acne-prone skin types Cons: Strong sulfur smell (but fades quickly) Can be drying if used excessively Not ideal for full-face use unless skin is very oily Bottom line is the De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment is an absolute must-have for anyone dealing with cystic acne or chronic breakouts. It’s simple, powerful, and delivers real results—something I rarely say about acne treatments. I now keep a jar in my medicine cabinet, travel bag, and backup drawer. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Highly, highly recommend!

This review is premature, but I'm that excited. As you can see in this photo, my struggle with acne is the hormonal, cystic kind. There isn't anything I have not tried. Chemical peels, Proactiv (both versions), Murad, Aczone, Epiduo, liver cleanses, hormonal birth control, Acnepril, Estroblock.. you get it. The effects of acne have been so damaging, much deeper than physical damage. I've had mild acne with my cycle for about 5 years, but this stuff I have now has been going on for about a year. I've called in to work, even..so embarrassed. Avoid all kinds of social events even though I'd love the experiences. Lost touch with friends because I'd always decline invites to outings, especially camping and water-involved ones because I wouldn't be able to wear makeup..my ugly skin would be exposed for everyone to see. Even though makeup actually makes the attempt to cover it up seem ridiculous, it's all I can do to sort of feel like I have normal skin... to draw attention from the ugly blemishes. These are so painful in every aspect. I mean, talking and smiling and yawning, I can feel them. Okay.. now, on to the real reason you're still reading.. this product! Look, this is only day number two for me. Last night, I slept with it, even though it says not to, just on my jawline and upper neck where my cysts are. This morning, I took a bath and when I began drying my face, dead skin began rolling off in this area. I rubbed it all off with a towel, being careful not to be too rough and end up with raw skin. The cysts had come to surface and I was able to gently squeeze the product of infection out of my pores, one by one. Until now, I haven't had this much success. Just new cysts every day, the old ones wouldn't go away, but would just become less inflamed, leaving a lump that felt like somewhere deep down, there was something still in there. When I touch these "old" cysts, today, I don't feel that slight sensitivity like there's still some sort of infection. The newer cysts are far less inflamed, coming to the surface, obviously drying up. I got so excited about rolling off all of that dead skin, I put it all over my face and have had it on for about 2 hours, now. It doesn't burn at all. The smell isn't an issue. The texture is exactly how it sounds... like an ointment. Think Neosporin or A+D ointment. I slathered a little coconut oil on my skin last night before applying this stuff. I'm going to do the same tonight. I went ahead and ordered this exfoliating mitt on Amazon, today so that I can stay on top of the "shedding" process. I just haven't seen such rapid, non-harsh effects from any product or procedure I've ever tried. The redness on my jawline and neck has gone down sooo much in just one day. The throbbing of my cysts has been greatly reduced. I know it's so soon in my treatment with this ointment, but I'm so confident that the results will just keep getting better and better. I might even go to the beach this summer.. and let my face get wet. I look forward to the day I can sleep an extra 2 hours more before waking up to get ready for work because I don't have to do my makeup. I'm definitely getting carried away here.. it's all because of the high level of excitement I'm currently experiencing. You have my word.. I will be updating on this review whether or not any more success comes out of it. Thanks for reading all of my story. I know that almost all of you who have read this much probably feel very similar about your acne suffering. It's so cruel, we spend so much money, experience so much disappointment, put ourselves through hell, and in the end.. have gotten nowhere. I'm so sick of it. If this cheap bottle of sulfur ends up being the answer to "what can I do to make this stop?".. I'm going to be so... I can't even think of a word to accurately describe the amount of joy, relief, freedom it will bring to my life and I'll spread the word as much as I can. This is a good place to start ;) best wishes to you all!

Rising from the depths like an ancient deep sea creature that had finally awoken from its one hundred year slumber, a devastating pimple began to make its way on my face. Before I could even see it, I could feel my skin start to throb and stiffen. Any slight touch - even just washing my face - would anger it and it would roar and redden with rage. I tried my best to appease its wishes; without over exfoliating or irritating the monster, I tended to its every need. But it lingered with dissatisfaction, causing me to miss multiple social events in fear that any makeup to cover its hideousness would only feed its fury. After weeks of torment, I begrudgingly looked at myself in the mirror. To my horror, I discovered that the conniving demon on my face decided to multiply. Taunting me with their shiny new faces, I screamed with exasperation and like a knight on a galloping horse, I lanced each one I could reach, destroying their evil morals but also my skin in the process. I was covered in sweat and tears by the time my rampage subsided. I stumbled back to witness the scene before me - what was once my tamed face was now an unsightly field of blood and scars. My skin... my face... What have I done? I could feel a warmness rising inside of me. "It wasn't my fault!" I exclaimed in denial. "I did everything I could! But that... that MONSTER! That devil! And its cursed minions! They were mocking me! They made me do it!" But no matter what I said to convince myself, nothing could be done. Nothing could be done to heal the wounds. Creams, ointments, serums, nothing. And even now, months after that infamous day and many more like it, I'm still reminded of that fiend as I look upon the dark marks of its wake and tirelessly await its return. I purchased this ointment so that I could put a stop to this brutal cycle. Right when I can feel a bad one starting to surface, I apply a small dab with a q-tip to the area after I’ve washed and dried my face for the night. I let it do its thing overnight and wash it off in the morning with a facial oil that I use to remove my makeup, followed by my normal cleansing routine. It is a little sticky and greasy – kind of like a thicker Neosporin, so don’t expect it to absorb into your skin overnight, especially if you use a generous amount. If you’re a side sleeper, it will probably get on your pillows too. I haven’t noticed it staining but it does give off a pretty strong odor. It smells like epoxy resin. I’m not a huge fan of the smell, but I will deal with it since it seems to be working. If I haven’t thoroughly cleaned it off, I can smell the residue on my towel as well as on my face for the rest of the day. I read some reviews here that warned about this ointment making your skin very dry so to only use it for specific areas overnight or for a few minutes a couple times a week. I have pretty tough skin and have never had an issue with it getting irritated or dried out with any product (this one included). I’ve been using it on my problem areas every night (overnight) for the past week, and while it hasn’t completely eradicated all of my pimples, it has definitely prevented any of those subsurface dwelling ones from growing. Mind you, this has been the only product to stop those massive pimples. I’ve tried AHAs, BHAs, 10% benzoyl peroxide, clay masks, lots of hydrating products, low pH products, even a prescription (differin/adapalene) - none of those made a difference, so I’m hopeful that perhaps this stinky, yellow goo may be the thing that turns my skin around. One step at a time though! So all in all, I highly recommend that you give this product a try. It’s a good value and seems to be working for my deep, hard to reach pimples. However, read all the reviews to gauge how much and how often of the product you should use because it seems to be quite potent. It’s natural odor is pungent as well.
