Awesome rack

Easy to assemble and very durable, sturdy rack once put onto vehicle. Hopefully it holds up well in rainy weather after a while, the coating seems like really good quality. It definitely gives my Jeep Cherokee a ready for adventure look. The only issue so far is the drag and noise when it is somewhat windy, 15 mph or above or just when driving on the interstate. Overall, I love it so far!

We bought this cargo basket to fit between two bike trays on the rooftop rack of our Subaru Crosstrek. It was easy to install. I was hoping that Yakima had a compatible waterproof bag to fit the Skinny Warrior, but they don't. We bought a bag designed for sitting on a hitch mount tray. It's almost (but not quite) the size of the Skinny Warrior and gives us waterproof storage on top of the car when we need it.

Excellent product. Expensive. I bought two. Regular skinny warrior on drivers side. Skinny warrior with extension on passenger side. Have a Yakima registered installer mount the system for peace of mind and self assurance. There are a lot of nuances Yakima is not being upfront about. Do not watch any thing on you tube about installation.

Arrived with dents that prevented assembly

This rack is extremely sturdy. I bought it to go on my 2018 Forester and it fits perfectly, allowing enough room for either a bike on either side of it, or a kayak to one side. We got this rack instead of a wider one because we needed to be able to put a kayak beside it. It worked great on our first roadtrip. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.

This product arrived defective and unable to put together. The screw holes did not line up properly. We contacted the seller about this dilemma and they did not contact us back. It has been several weeks now. We eventually figured a way to ratchet strap the cage to align the screw holes, popped the screw in and finished the install. Overall we are not happy with the seller, they were not available when we needed them and we are not happy with this expensive product being defective and almost unusable. Most folks would probably just send it back but seeing as we are in crazy times right now it’s not as easy as it used to be. If there is a next time we would work with a seller who can be there for their customers.

Bought the skinny bc the other side holds a skybox. I bought 2 extensions to make it a full length extra long skinny warrior. Basket is tough enough to mount equipment and walk on. Mounting and plastic hardware is tiny and flimsy through. I intend on really using it, so I bought u-bolt clamps from Lowe’s to really clamp them down for extra security.

Shipping was fast. No damage on the product. All holes and screws were lined up. Everything was good.
